I have watched Days for 15 years and all i could see that these characters tend to bottled up their feelings/problems/suspicion for MONTHS, they wil drag and drag. And when the truth unveal, the thrill was shortlived cos another 'problem' happened. Why cant they enjoy life. Even in the real world people have a bit to fun too. But nevertheless, i will continue watching Days cos im addicted to this.

ya know, watching this again for about the fifth time i've noticed something. when Sonny shows Will and Marlena the logo mockup look at Marlena's reaction to it, her look towards Will, her comment, and then Will's reaction to everything. Something about the logo made Will extremely uncomfortable and he avoided Sonny and the offer big time. just something I found interesting and pretty slick by the writers. Did anyone else catch it?

I really must commend DOOL for this storyline -- hope these characters are around for many years to come, or as long as soaps will flourish. If some of you haven't already, I really encourage you to check out the Christian and Syed storyline (past to present) on a brit soap called Eastenders. It is simply some of the most clever writing I've seen since one of my other past favs (i.e. Luke & Noah/Reid).

I'm finding Will to be so believable...all the hot and cold with Sonny, how he loves to be with Sonny and the other gay guys (until he realizes just how much he's enjoying it, then he freaks out)...it all seems very real. He wants to be himself and be happy, but he's still terrified to actually be that. I know that may sound strange to some people, but to me it feels like what I went through.

I think in Will's mind right now his commitment to help Sonny with the gay-friendly coffee shop is tied to his feelings about himself. He totally wants to hang out w Sonny and do this, but he doesn't feel like he can without admitting his feelings. I feel like the coffee shop is going to turn into a wonderful new chapter in both of their lives!

I say that because of the way he assumed he was straight and even more so because of his interactions with Sjoerd; it was very much a "two brothers looking for chicks" type situation. In addition, the same could be said about Noah about his background before he came on the show; his father often alluded to his "behavior" yet the storyline was still a "let's convert the 'straight guy'" scenari

Noah wasn't straight. He was closeted. Maddie was his beard. He'd known he was gay all along. The Col. even suspected which is why he didn't believe Noah had a girlfriend. Noah actually said something like "Don't act so surprised, I know you've always known" to his dad after the 2nd NUKE kiss.

Being closeted and being straight are completely different.

Viewers knew Noah was gay before Jake's 1st episode on the show.

One of the best things about this plot is that an American soap didn't do another scenario like they did with Noah and Maddie, or like Christian and Coco (VL) or Edwin and Wiet (GTST)--also known as the "straight-guy conversion." Especially since Will's character has been on the show for some time as a young adult, they've done a marvelous job in making this as plausible as possible.  We should be more grateful to them for that and just sit back and let Will and Sonny happen :-) (btw thx ADL!)

@lyo24girl actually on GTST Edwin showed interest in Lucas before Weit. He jumped on Weit after he kissed Lucas. Then he was into sex with her but mostly in that "OMG I totally had sex way. Sex is awesome!" He was trying to run away from his feelings for Lucas.

@lyo24girl You can't convert someone's sexuality. Christian acknowledged to Andy that he was probably always attracted to Olli (long before the kiss) and that's why he was so mean to him. Even though the love of his life is a man, Christian was probably always bi (obviously given the lady loving he's done).

There is no rule that bi guys have to date equal number men and women.

Christian met Olli and fell in love. Just like he met Coco and fell in love (when he was still with Nico)

@PlatypusRising55 If Christian was straight, the kiss with Olli would have had no effect on him. Knowing that Olli was so crushed out on him wouldn't have made him unable to sleep with his girlfriend and he wouldn't have broken up with Coco because he couldn't get Olli off his mind.

To me, Christian was bi all along. it makes sense.

I get why he identified as gay in his first gay relationship. Be he was still sexually attracted to women after he was with Olli.

I really, really feel sorry for Will. And I really, really love Marlena and Sonny. If I had people like that around me, I don't think I'd be able to keep any secrets. I wouldn't want to. He's lucky to have them. I am so into this storyline emotionally. I really hope he comes out soon so that the people in his life can show him how safe and loved he really is. Being as selfish as she is, Sami may be the only one in the dark but, it seems like everyone close to Will - including EJ & Rafe are fast putting two & two together. Chad, of course, has his own problems & may just not have had time to think about it & wouldn't care, anyway. Luckily for Will, Sonny & Marlena are giving him all the time he needs to come to grips with it.

This "coming out" story is a bit different than other soaps have tackled. Will does not have an obvious "crush" on anyone, and Sonny does not have a "crush" on Will. And Will has never "checked out" any of the guys on this show. His whole "gayness" is just difficult to follow.

I know most people in the LGBT community are terrified that someone will out them while they are still in the closet. This storyline is beginning to gather pace. I love how this has been portrayed so far. Everyone is acting brilliantly - especially Chandler and Freddie. Will must be close to telling Grandma or Sonny something soon. Like someone said earlier, he just can't seem to find the words yet. I am beginning to wonder if the guy Sonny sees Will kissing turns out to be Dustin. That would be great soapy drama for Will & Sonny to be at logger heads over the same man. Please do it DOOL writers :-)

It would have been so much easier knowing they were prepared for the truth and ready to accept it than to be keeping it a secret and not knowing how they'd react. I think she is doing great, and Will needs to know that someone is going to love him no matter what. If Will starts to self-destruct, as a grandma I think it is her job to just say it for him.

Sonny is quickly becoming one of my favorite people, the subtle way he told Will that he's not going to pressure him in anyway. My love for Sonny grows by the episode! Gah! I really love Will and Marlena's interaction, she is very much going along the same approach as Sonny but with that fierce grandmama bear protective love she has for Will. It's beautiful! DOOL you are doing an amazing job, keep it up!

i actually think that this is well written, at least when it comes to will's struggle within himself. the storyline is finally picking up some pace, and i think that in the end, it will be marlena who confronts will about his problems, which she ofc knows all about. she's a good grandmother.
