In Marks earlier days with the Jaguars he was a good QB as long as he had A. Time in the pocket and B. healthy legs to scramble. We had a good OL back then who protected Brunell and he did well. After the salary cap woes and depleted OL in later years, Brunell sustained way too many hits and then there was that awful knee injury in which he was made to wear that knee brace. After that it was all down hill for Brunell. The Jags did good by trading him. I really thought he had retired by now.
He was not that good when he played for the Redskins. Look at how many games we lost because this man fumbled the ball at the end and the clock ran out. I don't know why anyone would want him as a back up Qb or a starter in this day and time. No wounder we beat the Saints in 2008. Brunell giving all the wrong tips to Drew Breeze when we played them.
I'm retarded? You don't know your ass from a hole in the ground. Your Redskins was absolutely pathetic at pas blocking in '05-'06. Get your facts straight dummy. Jason Campbell will take you nowhere. Look up how many sacks your pathetic o line gave up in '05-'06, and before you run your feable mouth, the sacks came with both QBs. Brunell's arm looks fine with the Saints. Gibbs = Elmer Fudd...stay hot asshole!
Mark Brunell is the man! Who knows what he could have done if he had an offensive line! The few years he did he took them to the afc championship twice. Mark is a class act on & off the field. He had one of the best qb scrambles in nfl history, a 29 yarder in Denver to beat Elway's 13-3 Broncos 30-27. Thanks for all the memories Mark!
You must be retarded???? are you saying the Redskins didnt have a OL in 05-06????? . Look it wasn't the offensive line it was his arm and the new schemes he was having tro do.
I know because im a skins fan, he was great in 05 and i luv the guy and in 06 it didnt happen we stepped forward.
So again it wasnt the OL it was his age and that Leg problem. Know football b4 saying something
ok.. it wasnt just brunell, do u remember the first game that season? against the vikings? he was great... he lead the team down to a game winning field goal, did everything he could and th e kicker blew it... the rest of the year he had a hard time getting comfortable in a new offense and so was the o-line...
the o-line let up the 3rd most sacks, so if that was happening to u, wouldnt u be throwing the ball as quickly as possible? that season was not brunells fault, it was the kicker, o-line and the defense lost th ema few games too, remember the o.t. game where they lost on the first play.... a running play... the same running play they got beaten on to send the game to overtime?.... yaaaaaa.... the defesnse was a let down that year... just saying...
