  • Forgive me.... In a quote I wrote "'fine'" I meant "find". My apologies.

  • I'll like to say something... Many people has seen God... My brother in Christ speaks to the Lord, and I have proof. The reason why I haven't its cause I'm not ready to be filled with God's holy fire. "seek and you shall fine", its all a matter of patience, its not on your time but on God's time. Just pray, it won't hurt, just call out to him. You have to have faith and patience, he will come... He will... What father denies his own son? All praises and glory to him. Amen.

  • Now listen to me as I will only say this once and do not plan to comment after this But for goodness sakes STOP arguing all of you arguing over gods existence sound stupid and are not helping each others beliefs The Christians are not going to stop believing in Christs just because the atheist don't and the Atheist are most likely not going to stop being atheist, so Instead of fighting (Mind you so close to Christmas) How about we all act like adults

    that is all

  • To the Atheists: If you are genuinely interested in the meaning of this song or just like it, than you are welcome. But I don't understand why you feel the need to comment things that are offensive to Christians when this song is an obviously Christian song by Christian musicians.

To the Christians: Do you guys really think that name calling and saying mean things to Atheists is really going to change their mind about God? We should be showing the love Christ and not insulting non-believers.

  • Worst edition i have ever heard !!

  • Love the bass line in this song, especially the bass solo at the end =D

  • Atheists should go listen to athiest songs....we WON"T go there to bother them

  • imagine coach from left 4 dead 2 singing this :3

  • My favorite rendition of my favorite carol.

  • i love this song <3

  • Christmas is about love and grace. Give from the heart, not your wallet. Spread the love everyone.

  • @Melodyotakuchan21 Well said!! I love it!

  • Why do most Christian songs end up having a lot of their comments be religious debates? Why can't we just enjoy the music and be glad that Jesus came? If you don't believe in Him, then don't listen to stuff about Him. Praise God, and thank you Jars of Clay for this beautiful, touching song.

  • @tigers24destiny Christian Songs turn into debates because they boldly, and beautifully proclaim the glory of Christ our Savior. Two thumbs up Jars of Clay. And thank you Jesus For giving us a reason for the season!

  • I heard this on the radio once last year then heard it last week on the radio and I say this is one of the best renditions of this song I've heard.

  • love this version is on my xmas play list

  • Best version of Little Drummer Boy I've ever heard.

  • This is the best studio recorded version of this song. It is magical in that it conjures up a mental image of a poor little peasant boy boldly approaching baby Jesus with the purest heart and utmost sincerity. What ever you have to give, just give your best like the little drummer boy.

  • Best version of Little Drummer Boy!

  • 15 people never celebrated christmas LOL

  • god still doesn't exist.

  • @SicSemperArma there is, instead of dismissing just the book, there so much proof all around us, the sedimentary ock that covers the earth, and the bones of past civilizations, that comes only from high pressure and water = the flood, the lack of 24 hours that nasa stumbeled upon when their computers tackled the past rotations of the sun, = the 24 hours God stopped the sun in the sky. and many more, also athiest themselves have pointed out its the single most accurate document ever wrote.

  • @PaladinRelath I'm sorry, but if you have no idea as to the specifics of science, you really shouldn't comment on it.

Althouh I'm an Atheist, the Bible does contain a lot of historic fact, but the fantasy elements (God, Satan, destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, the Leviathan, etc.) are just that - fantasy.

If you had been raised as a Muslim, would you believe in the Christian god? I very much doubt you would.

  • @LuniaVideo

You do have a conscience. It tells you right from wrong every day. You have the gift of discernment, a GOD given gift. You don't understand what you can't see, b/c you choose to study only what you can see. There's only one SIN that is not forgiveable- The SIN against the Holy Spirity. That means at the moment of your death that you will be given a choice to accept GOD's forgiveness (his final mercy for your soul), or you can reject him. If you reject- IT'S OVER for you. He's real

  • @jjheckt Good job ignoring the Muslim question.

  • @jjheckt ... Almost 100% of everything you wrote is simply utter nonsense and you should be deeply ashamed of yourself for spreading such lies and fear among your fellow human beings. Disgusting. You're severely deluded and you should seek help, actual psychological assistance, so that you can function like a normal human being.

Having said that ... I love this track! :)

  • @jjheckt Is this in the bible somewhere, or did you just decide this is the rule?

  • @LuniaVideo "the Bible does contain a lot of historic fact, but the fantasy elements are just that - fantasy".

Esp for an atheist, what a ridiculous statement. If you can admit that even one thing in the Bible has been shown to be true, but reject others simply because you don't understand them, isn't that going against all those scientists who proved things people once thought fantasy to be true?

I've heard many arguments from atheists, but that one was shameful.

  • @fillysunray Your stupidity and lack of historic knowledge is almost baffling. Any Atheist who isn't just out to be a prick to religious folk realizes that the Bible contains many historical facts. Sodom and Gomorrah - both real places. Nineveh, Megiddo, King Solomon, etc.

Pick up a college-level history textbook once in a while.

  • @LuniaVideo What?

Okay, I have no idea what your point is. So far it's "rant" then "telling me some historical facts" (fair enough, but I knew those already) and then "insult". Okay... thanks for that...

Please rephrase whatever it was you were trying to say. I do not see any point in your argument at all.

  • @fillysunray You're free to be wrong. Be wrong all you want.

I won't try to convince you of commonsense knowledge anymore, I'll just let you be blissfully ignorant like all religious people. Enjoy your life and good luck. :)

  • @LuniaVideo Can you point me in the direction that gives any proof to what your saying is correct? What do you believe actually? How did this amazing universe get here? Look at everything! You sound like a smart person and I know you do not believe that an atom just came out of nowhere or a huge galaxy just came into existence out of nowhere without some sort of creator. Am I correct?

  • @TheLidKazer The universe was already here. It didn't "get" here, like we did or like how iPods "got" here.

Of course atoms didn't come out of nowhere. They arose out of a singular point in spacetime of infinite density, infinite electromagnetism, infinite gravity, infinite strong force and infinite weak force.

Science doesn't claim to have all the answers. But one thing it does claim is to have answers that are able to be proven (unlike God.) You can't test for "God" in a laboratory.

  • @LuniaVideo Science cannot prove anything. Isn't that one of its main lines? Also, the chances of the universe actually coming into existence is so small, it actually makes more sense to believe in a God. Not that I think that's a good reason to come to Him, but hey, at least it's better than simply NOT coming to Him just because you don't want to accept that he's real.

  • @fillysunray What a loaded, one-sided and ignorant statement. Of course science can prove plenty of stuff. Science proved gravity. Without gravity your ass would float off into space and be toasted by stellar radiation.

It makes no sense to believe in an Invisible Man In The Sky because there is 0 proof of him and plenty of proof for science and evolution. What proof do you have of god?

Before you make yourself sound more spiteful and bitter, I was born and raised a Christian. Now an Atheist.

  • @LuniaVideo You believe in a invisible force know as gravity. How do you know it exists? Because we can feel its effects, right? It's the same thing with a "Invisible Man in the Sky" we can't see Him but we know He exists because of the proof we have of His awesome existence. What was it that turned you away from Christ when you were a Christian?

  • @TheLidKazer No, we know He exists because of one concept. It's a uniquely human concept and it allows us to see beyond the everyday crap. It's called faith. Faith is why we know He exists, and faith alone. Miracles don't happen everyday (or they wouldn't be miracles right?) so we have to have faith that He created all what we see for us. We are nothing without faith. Faith is the breath of God.

  • @solanisrs I agree with you 100% but for an unbeliever, telling them to have faith does no good. To show them God's existence we must sometimes give them physical proof(which God has given us) to show them God's existence.

  • @TheLidKazer Are you genuinely comparing gravity to God? People like you only feel the dark, empty embrace of oblivion, and choose to indulge your cowardice with the comforting notion of divinity and an immaculate after-life. We're finite - it is only once we face this fact that we are truly able to realise our potential as a species. Until then we are simply children cowering beneath an imaginary blanket of protection we describe as God. P.S. this is a great song.

  • @rhidiandavies1991 No of course not! I was simple using gravity as a example, because you cannot literally see it. And I really didn't understand that whole paragraph, which is fine being that I'm only 15, but its not my job to. My job is to plant the seed(which I believe I have done). Even if you don't believe in God or that there is a God, that doesn't mean he isn't real, and you will be held accountable on Judgement Day for not heeding this warning.

  • @TheLidKazer religion is wrong.

  • @UncleBards2 Christianity is not a religion... it's a relationship!

  • @javamochacocoa gay,

  • @LuniaVideo What ever happened to faith??? This little question sums up everything wrong in this world. If everyone had faith in God and honored and worshiped him correctly this world would be a far far better place to live.

  • @PaladinRelath ..... what utter garbage. Absolute utter garbage.

  • You have no gift to bring that's fit for a king? How 'bout that Yamaha drum set you tote around, kid. Why don't you hand that over, instead of pulling an Elton John and claiming your gift's your song?

  • haha, old book says so. must be true. that which can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof. atheism: 1 theists: 0

  • @SicSemperArma And yet, here you are listening to it ;-) Where there is life there is hope ;-)

  • @SicSemperArma

    Someones living in the dark

  • @SicSemperArma so you came on the vid to bash?

  • @SicSemperArma .Think of the time wasted believing in one. I feel so silly for reading that amazingly cohesive collection of books that were written over the course of 1600 years, by the widest variety of writers ever assembled into a single volume. And I feel downright dumb for expecting some kind of answer for why people are so nasty...oh and the presence of the universe. Thanks for enlightening me, random, faceless, Youtube poster. I'll take your sloppily presented sentence as authoritative.

  • I've heard this song for so many years (not this version... the more classic-ish one). Never really listened to the lyrics. All I heard was "parum pum pum pum."

Came across this version randomly, and for some reason, I actually heard the lyrics! What a great song.

It means a lot to me, especially because I'm a drummer myself

    Best lines:

I played my best for Him, pa rum pum pum pum,

Then He smiled at me, pa rum pum pum pum

  • the best song ever!

  • i dont want to seem ignorant to those that like this song, but im really struggling to see what the big deal is, from what i can gather its boring if anything. but thats just my opinion.

  • always been my fav did gr8 guys :D :D :D :D :D

  • wow this song is really amazing it touches you in the deep of your hearth,it brings you in the mood for christmas Thumbs up for Jars of Clay

  • I love this. But, I'll admit, while this is fantastic, I enjoy The Almost's version of "Little Drummer Boy" more.

  • Shall I play for you?, pa rum pum pum pum,

    On my drum? . hehe

  • Love this song

  • a beautiful song that shows the reason why we he christmas not happy holidays it christmas lets put christ back in it and our hearts

  • Meh, there's no dynamic.... it's too staic

  • This arrangement is a Master Piece!...Now, my drum happily follow this beat...Merry Christmas! Thumbs up for Jars of Clay !!!!

  • I can play this on repeat forever. So epic!

  • ONe of my all time fave versions of this song! Great album to boot!

  • This is the time to rejoice in our Lord Jesus!! He was foretold to be the King of the world, yet born in a manger, fragile and poor. I have nothing to give to you guys, except my words. I truly pray that those who are lost be found. God works in miracles. Glory be to the Father, his Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  • This might be my favorite Christmas song.. Love this version. I also like the cover The Almost did too. Both really good. Happy holidays everyone! God bless us, every one. :D .........ok that wasn't necessary, sorry.. :^|

  • Does anyone here know that Christians stole the Christmas tradition from the Pagans? It was to manipulate surrounding countries of Rome to submit to Christianity. Christianity propagated as a way to universally control everyone without a lot of bloodshed.

I love Christmas, but everyone needs to know it for what it really is.

  • @mindhaze The first part is true, but Christians didn't do it to make people submit to Christianity, they just changed the meaning to a Christian holiday, but if you look at todays celebration of christmas, it is slowly going back to the Pagan meaning, people are statrting to care more abt the gifts then family.

  • @ImNoJadedImsoniac sadly you are correct on this, people only care about the gifts now, family is quickly becoming last, keep the spirit alive Merry Christmas

  • @mindhaze Romans used Christmas as one of the tools to allow surrounding pagan countries to feel more comfortable with the idea of Christianity. It was spread, first and foremost, as a way to control people more easily, without war. It's just another form of government control.

I hate the present thing. I know it stimulates the economy and what not, but it takes away from other things. My opinion. :)

  • @mindhaze Just so i dont confuse you with something you may not be, i can only assume your either pagan or atheist or somthing else correct me if im wrong please. All religion perspectives aside, Christmas 'now' is a time for families and friends to come together and love and laugh, peace on earth, to Christians (our faith) its our Lords coming to earth, to pagans a celebration called yule, and last even on a simple Christmas song someone has to say somthin about christians stealing it, sad....

  • Comment removed

  • @mindhaze

Christmas is only what it means to you.

Now I'm Christian and I don't take offense to that. In the past many good things've been manipulated for gain, happens every day. But that doesn't change what Christmas is to those who keep it; the people do. To me Christmas is for the birth of a great King that showed us love. That's what it means to me regardless of the past; therefore, for me that's what Christmas "really is."

You can celebrate it as you will. Merry Christmas. (:

  • This is SOOO my favorite version of this song! AWESOME!

  • By far, the best version of this song I've ever heard!

  • Eh...I've heard a better cover of this song. Sorry.

  • Jars of Clay rock for Jesus! I first got into them when I was ministering unto the folks of Bowling Green, Kentucky near western State university. I still preach Christ crucified, and risen the third day to save us from sin. My world was a flood, but the Lord healed me. You guys rock!

  • @MuffinJowest i agree..this is my fav one...i love Jars of Clay. especially their "Wonderful Christmastime"

  • Thanks for blessing us with an awesome rendention, Jars of Clay! And thanks for uploading it zeryic!

No matter what time of the year it is, it is an incredible to time to celebrate Christ's birth and love for us.

  • i love this soong ♥

  • Not bad. Some nice bass lines. But, as far as the song and the arrangement are concerned nobody has done it better than Whiteheart. But that's just my opinion. :-)

  • @metlmick While I LOVE Whiteheart (Independence Day is amazing)...this is one of the first versions of this song I heard growing up, and nothing else satisfies me as this version does. :D

  • AMEI !!!

  • its almost summer but i feel this song works even now......beautiful

  • When my son was young he loved this song! I made a cassette recording it over and over again. It is so honest and true, what can we give Him but ourselves! When my son was a little older the man that wrote the song was appearing at a church nearby for a Christmas concert and we were able to meet him and get his autograph on a CD. Very exciting for my son, who later played the drums. Now he is in the service.

  • god this song is perfect...

  • it sooo sounds like they're saying "barack obama"

    for example....

    come, they tooold me,

    (buh rock oh bomb uh)

  • OMG it does sound like that when you listen too it reall good.

  • haha yep.

    RIP Michael.

  • yep.

  • Thats crazy don't say that I love Barack but he is not GOD.

  • someone missed the boat lol. if jesus had come again already i wouldnt be here =3

  • o my gosh it really does i never thought of that!

  • i can kinda hear the barack but i'm missing the obama XD

  • Come, they told me (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)

A newborn king to see (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)

Our finest gifts we bring (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)

To lay before the king (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum) [x 3]

    So, to honor Him (pa-rum-pa-pum-pum)

    When we come

  • I agree this is a beautiful version, but let's not forget the CLASSIC version by White Heart in 1988... Just a matter of personal preference, as with all music.

    Merry CHRISTmas!!

  • I have to completely agree. Whiteheart's version of this song has got to be my favorite!! Completely epic the way they used the guitar in it. The song just sings itself.

  • Thank you for being critical but not a total ass. the world needs more of that. Merry CHRISTmas to you to

  • One of my very favorite Christmas songs of all time! Love Jars of Clay version.

  • this is my FAVE version. and my one of my FAVE christmas songs. I LOVE it. Jesus doesnt need fancy things. He just wants us to love him. I wish I was more that way. This always reminds me that christmas is more than just the gifts. it is about JESUS CHRIST! HE LIVES

  • Awesome song. But i have forgotten the story of the little drummer boy. Will someone please tell me?

  • @rblasco1970 I completely agree with you.

  • @rblasco1970 Grammar. How does it work?

  • Comment removed

  • This was my No. 1 FAVE Christmas song when I was a little kid, too! And, this is one of my favorite versions - I actually like this one by JOC than the one on their Christmas Songs CD, which is more "electric" but a little less percussive.

"Nothing of my own I bring; simply to thy cross I cling"

  • i love this band i may not bee the purest person out there but who can blame me LOVE YHU JARS OF CLAY

  • cute

  • I love this song and Jars of Clay. They did an awesome job and thanks for posting.

  • Thanks for the video!!!! This is my fav christmas song!!! =}

  • YOu guys sound great, NICE

  • I love his voice. There's a "metallic" element to it.

  • this took my breath away just a little bit. :)

  • I'm sorry, don't mean to offend....but Whiteheart has THE BEST VERSION of Little Dummer Boy. Period.

  • love this version but I heard WhiteHeart's LONG before this one...personally I favor WH's although the arrangment by JOC is tight!

  • I just listed to it. I just can't decide which ones better.

  • My dad plays this song in the car and the bass shakes it lol :D

    Great song too :P

  • This is seriously the most beautiful "Little Drummer Boy" I have ever heard in my life.

Keep rocking, Jars of Clay! :)

  • this is kind of stupid without pics but great song.

  • great choice my friend, this is my favorite jars of clay song!!

  • This song is so beautiful, give what you have and God is pleased.

  • I'm just glad some people can stand to listen and hear Jesus's name at this time of the year. Everyone likes these songs about him, but not because they are about Him, but because their "Christmas" songs

  • Fantastic version of this song. Merry Christmas to all from Greenland!!!!

  • Let the joy of Christmastime fill your hearts with happiness. One person thinks Santa - and the commercialism that comes with Santa is ok - and another believes that we should emphasize the true meaning of Christmas and speak the truth to their children about Santa. As God's children, keep in mind that people are often come to know Jesus (and get to thinking like Jesus thinks) through our actions and not our words. Show a non-believer what Christmas is all about.

  • i hope you feel better about yourself because of your comment....who cares..merry christmas

  • You make it seem like religion has done something to you. If A person wants to believe in an angel watching over them why should I say " I cant stand religio
