  • do you take off your foot off the gas pedal when shifting?

  • Yea. But i do it quick @HamadHHAG

  • @nightriderr45 that will slow it

you have to not leave your foot from gas pedal when you need some power

    except if your car can't

  • thats not quick shifting >.<

  • What kind of short shifter and clutch you are using????

  • you still have the car?

  • @Gozila7 yea it's boosted now.

  • Nice spongebob pants

  • hey man i have a question..that tire screeching noise you make when you shift gears..is that called tripping gears or something? how do you do it? is it bad for the clutch, tranny, or any part of the car? i just got a manual car and the kid at the mechanic shop i took it to drove it and did that with my car and he said that's how u get the most performance out of your car..thanks -jim

  • @JImmy3187 hes quickshifting, means you let go of the clutch real quick and put in the pas pedal immediately so it kind of peels out i guess, it makes the tires chirp and its not bad for your car, this would be the correct way of shifting while racing.

  • Vtec pulls harder between shifts!

  • no way are those spongebob pajama pants?? where did you get those?!?!

  • gay pjs

  • I never have to drop down a gear in my Mk6 gti..max torque from 1800 rpm to redline. Lol

  • Whats it like to drive stick shift? it seems like you can't do any mulitasking wile shifting gears.

  • @Deangelo21530 you really cant multitask, texting is impossible, but it makes you feel more in control of how the car drives, lets say your on the highway ready to pass someone, in a manual you drop down a gear to get more torque and easily pass someone.

also manuals have the added feature of when the battery dies all you need is a hill or a push, dropp the clutch and that starts the motor for you

which is impossible for a automatic

  • @Deangelo21530 @xyzdorky66 I multitask all the time while driving a stick shift truck lol. I can eat while driving, I can talk on the phone while driving, I can even text while driving if I need to. You're not always having to change gears, and when you do it only takes one hand for a split second.

  • @er1k93 i agree, i see people with automatics struggling to maintain the damn speed limit while talking on the phone.....here i am texting a damn paragraph as i shift from 2nd to 3rd lol

  • @Deangelo21530 you definitely can multitask. me and my friends all can text and eat while shifting. you just gotta plan out when you do tho cause you cant just drop your drink or cell phone on the floor trying to get a quick downshift cause you were texting and not paying attention to the road hah. but manuals are fun to drive if you like that kind of stuff. thats all i want when i look for a car

  • third gear chirp!!!!! CHIRP!! DO THAT ALL THE TIME!! got to love the torque!!!

  • Going hard core in pj's. Like a boss

  • i love how when your going fast and you switch to 2nd gear it peels out.

  • You suck drivin a stick

  • @spikestarr804 hahha let me guess, u from the country where 90% of the people drive automatic and when they see a manual they freak out and order a xxl menu at Mac :)))))))

  • And as soon as he turned around to turn off the camera he crashed and died....R.I.P.

  • @cavalierblue really?

  • there is nothing manly about a 4 banger...

  • dude your dumb holding your hand on the shifter will not damage anything ur mom holding your head under water when you were an infant damaged you

  • Nice dude !!!!!!! you know how to shift right... Regards.

  • spongebob squarepants pajama pants?

  • new england accent FTW!!

  • what mods do you have in this video

  • 3rd gear chirp ? nice man.

  • Get a real car homo

  • Hey, did you paint your interior?

  • I'm about get this car the se-r spec v, 5 speed. As a regular car is it pretty quick?

  • @zax314233 its quick in 1st and 2nd gear but kinda slow in 3rd..

  • @zax314233 you mean 6spd? This car is very fun for a daily driver, tons of torque and lightweight.

  • hell yeah i like

  • Haha.....Nice spongebob jammies

  • Nice pants.

  • lol spongebob pants x]

  • very nice short throw i have to get one !!!!!!!

  • @turboboyyea thanks

  • @GettoNike yea

  • whats its 0-60? and what mods you use?

  • @xMonsterKx125 havent done 0-60 with that setup.

  • Nice..i thought for sure you were powershifting lol

  • do u powershift or use the clutch?

  • @speacialperson12345 I use the clutch, i never powershit.

  • @nightriderr45 wow, thats pretty god damn impressive, ha i quoted south park. nd my dad had one of these cars an 02 SER Spec-V, he like babied it so much, he said that he could push it if he wanted to but didnt.

  • @speacialperson12345 i use the clutch, i never powershift

  • @speacialperson12345 you use the clutch regardless of whether you powershift or not.

  • @sleepisyummy ive always know as powershifting without the clutch. but i misunderstood powershifting. now i know that you just never let up of the throttle, but wouldnt that make ur car rev up real high, because if i were to do that, push the clutch in while going full throttle my RPM's would go near the redline, or idk how to explain it but they would jump, thats not with racing though.

  • @speacialperson12345 No, powershifting uses the clutch...how would you get it into gear? Lol and yeah the revs will rise but thats where you get that power from cause you start in your gear at redline basically. Powershifting is also beneficial because you dont lose any momentum between shifts like you would not powershifting. But don't try it unless you can really drive.

  • @sleepisyummy you slam it into gear, and if you can get a perfect rev match then it goes into gear easier, but that kills your syncronizers. I have never raced before, well because i dont have any type of fast car. And yea it makes sense that you dont let up so you dont lose momentum, your car wont dip forward a little as it normally would, during normal driving.

  • @speacialperson12345 the thing about REV MATCHING (matching the exact revs to engine speed) is it is impossible to get into gear without using the clutch while your foot is on the gas. Also you can't get it into gear anyways since you aren't at the correct rpm. You'll grind all day. I've tried. Powershifting if you do it correctly does not hurt your car at all (since you're using the clutch).

  • @sleepisyummy ok, i would use the clutch if i race i would just have to get the hang of powershifting. Ive seen videos where people shift without the clutch, all they are doing is beating up their transmission because they are trying to save the clutch. The clutch is ment to be worn and also is cheaper than a tranny rebuild. Also, the clutch is there for a reason.

  • @speacialperson12345 Those videos are of people shifting at normal speeds, for daily driving. Clutchless shifting is possible, but not during a race.

  • @sleepisyummy all i have to say is clutchless shifting is stupid, i always use the clutch.

  • @speacialperson12345 Actually if done right, it saves your syncros from wear and tear. Read up on it a little bit. I don't do it unless I'm showing someone how, but still it isn't bad if you know the technique. It actually benefits the car.

  • @sleepisyummy read up on clutchless driving? ok, i will, ive wanted to just know how to do it, and i would be like you id only do it when showing it to ppl.

  • @speacialperson12345 Alright good man. I'm always trying to help.

  • @sleepisyummy yea thanks, only things that i have really done, advanced wise, with a manual are learned how to double clutch (dnt rlly need it but i just wanted to) and i learned heel and toe even though its rlly for racing. Ive only been driving manual for about 3 months, im one of those 17 year olds who wants to drive manual.

  • @speacialperson12345 Ahh I got you. Yeah I have been doing heel toe for about a year in numerous road races...it definitely helps. Only thing is my Corolla isn't the best car to try heel toeing in lol. But I can definitely do it in a race. I've beaten so many cars around the same track. Cars that supposedly handle well. Lol. The only car I've ever lost to is my friend's Integra. It handles extremely well. All in all, I thank my short wheelbase :)

  • @sleepisyummy yea, thats nice, my saturn isnt the car to heel and toe in, the pedals are just wierd for it, cept i can still do it, i want to get myslef a GTI but dont have the money atm. the 2010 GTI's are perfectly set up for heel toe. Cept the 2010 is waay too much right now.

  • @speacialperson12345 I got you, the GTI isn't a car I'd pick for track racing though. I'd go for something like an S2000 which are crazy around turns. Also you can probably buy racing pedals like you'd see in an older BMW M3 (my friend has one, the pedals are PERFECT for heel toe downshifts). His is a '95 model. But regardless whatever you choose make sure you are able to drive it first.

  • Nice pants

  • How did u do your dash? I wanna do that to my spec v really bad

  • @buffnic it's way simpler then a stage 3, but the stock clutch can take alot of abuse, and doesnt have that aggressive engagement like a stage3

  • very nice wats all done to your sentra??

  • @pFbSpecV well it's different now, it's boosted. that vid was when i was n/a

  • @nightriderr45 hahaha yea i just saw that video of it boosted nice man! have u fuked up ur engine changin ur redline??? i kno its hard on the engine and i hate the stock revlimiter.

  • @pFbSpecV i've had it at 7k rpms for a few months with stock springs, then turned it up to 7500k with vq35hr springs and the 07 crank, motor holds, change ur redline your safe point will be 6800k rpms with ur stock springs, just make sure u get a set of cams otherwise it's pointless.

  • @nightriderr45 yea its something ima do eventualy for sure after i do all the other mods so its gonna be about 6 months or so till i get around to cams and how are you boosting 13 pounds??? i thought the spec v motors can only handle 10 pounds unless you change the compression rate.

  • @pFbSpecV ah ok, kool. nah i used to have it at 18psi also but brought it down to 13psi cuz i had no traction at 18. my motor is far from stock at this point lol it's at 2.6 with stock compression w/coated pistons, there's more but dont wanna give to much info on my build. i'm also in the forms but username is splash45

  • @nightriderr45 yea your sentra is a beast man. wat does it run in the quarter mile?? and some reason i cnt make an account on the forum theres some dumbass code it asks for and i guess i type it wrong everytime. haha

  • @pFbSpecV havent took it down the track yet, in the next month or 2 i will, cant wait lol same when i go to a dyno meet in 2 months. Which forum u tried logging in?

  • @nightriderr45 nice man u better record those and i tried the b15 sentra forum and theres some code i keep typing wrong so i gave up trying.

  • @pFbSpecV try b15u . com m it's way better then the one u tried.

  • @nightriderr45 ok ima try that tomrow for sure then once im off work.

  • ur shifting epic

  • @prettysheddy thanks

  • ummm you should shift with your right foot on floor the entire time i can and if you cant then you cant shift fast

  • i feel as if i share yo technique, i get a vid 2 u namsayin ! ! !

  • very nice ser =) and u have nice pants xD

  • short kick clutch? whats the travel length of the clutch and how heavy/light is it, because it sounds like your not using the clutch to shift lol

  • it's a stock clutch, and i used the clutch, i just use it quickly enough to engage and switch, speed my man, speed lolol..

  • ha! 3rd gear skid. niceee

  • @HondaGalaxy my tires are so worn I can skid in 4th :))

  • awesome. thats about as fast as i can shift too. i need a short shifter.

  • How do u raise da redline??

    I have an 06 ser spec v

  • red

  • nice shifting dude

  • nice steering wheel alinement to.

  • Think about it how can leaving your hand on the shifter break your tranny? Thats the dumbest shit ive heard in awhile. And do they still make these cams?

  • @AFinRoo It wont break it but I guess gears can grind

  • @AFinRoo This term has been somewhat distorted from a valid point, to something completely ridiculous. It's harmful for the transmission to change gear with force, and keep force on the shifter while driving. For example, 1st to 2nd, and you hold it hard in second. A lot of noobs make this mistake. The solution, is to shift with only two fingers. It's hard to put too much stress on it with just a couple fingers.

  • @AFinRoo holding your hand on the shifter can grind our the gears if you are pulling your hand down or pushing your hand up on the shifter as the car is in gear. the way this guy has his hand on the shifter, hes not doing any damage

  • @AFinRoo indeed. leaving it on it, ( just resting it there. wont do a think. pressure in teh wrong direction or whatever could strain somethign. but fwiw, no hurt

  • what the fuck?

  • Why wouldn't you leave your hand on the shifter on a straight?

  • wow, you sound like a nigger and are probably as stupid as one..

  • that makes no sense? he's gonna just stare at the stick and it will just shift itself? Atleast that makes more sense than what you said.

  • i have an 03 spec v as my first car , and i love it , the gearbox is super easy , lol but i think for a first car its super nice , gotta a lot of power for such a small car

  • love the spec's, ive got an 04. spec-v has outstanding quick shifts, and awesome take-off

  • nice short shifter, the throws are mad short

  • Nice sentra and pants lol

  • What all do you have done to the engine to safely get your redline that high?

  • god damn dude wut kind of fucking car do u got

  • Thats really quick lol i liked it

  • how do people tell that you shifted nice in this video?

  • you can hear it... there wasnt a long pause between him getting it in the next gear and dumping the clutc... it was almost instant.

  • smooth operation with clutch and timing. average stick drivers take forever to shift AKA "granny shifting" you'll hear it on common ricers with loud exhaust. but this quick snappy shift is what you want for hard acceleration and racing.

  • Yeah, I hear people with loud mufflers shift like that all the time..

It's not that hard to shift quickly..You just gotta move your hands and foot fast..

  • its kinda fast but he's not powershifting. he's letting his foot off the gas every shift. btw its a super slow car its easy to shift fast... lets see him drive a low 12 sec cobra... hello granny shifting

  • assuming the synchros arent stiffer on the cobra, what would be the difference?

  • @OmarGVideos his car is a low 12 sec car

  • @dlee4she this is not a 12 sec car LOL

  • Diggin the pants

  • lolz

  • damn nice job shifting man!

  • whats wrong with your steering wheel?

    nice shifting BTW.

  • it's called "need an alighnment" lol

  • Dude, nice Spec. And you're a damn fast and accurate shifter, especially with the Spec's 6 speed tranny, i'm assuming you know how that can be sometimes.

  • i love the sound !!

  • Damn nice SPEC V

  • Damn dude, chirping in third gear, I like.

  • you sound like mark wahlberg in fear lol. the accent. like the shiftin tho

  • 15 to 60 in about 5 sec. very nice

  • the megan short shifter is one thats known to snap the cable , correct?good shifting, leave it to a ignorant man in a honda too talk shit.

  • yea. that one in the vid is the axxtion sts gen 1

  • i don't like the ricey redness of the interior, but the cars nice

  • HEY NICE spongebob pants you got there LMAO

  • there smiley faces, u gain 10whp with those PJ's on lol

  • oh snap where can i get those b? lol

  • The whole point is not to let off the clutch hard. And I no longer feel bad for being so harsh earlier after seeing your street racing videos. Your a big douche for street racing. Epic Fail.

  • u act like u dont see street racing. OK grandpa, go spend all ur retirement money on ur 240. Those street vids are ppl that i know. fuck off and go lecture somewhere else, i really dont give 2 fucks wut u think.

  • First, I do see street racing and 100% of the time they are all losers, I know because I use to be one. Second, I am 22 and got my act together and have a good paying job thank you very much. Third, it doesn't matter if you know who you are racing or not, illegal is illegal for a reason, because innocent people get hurt. Fourth, you do care or you wouldn't have bothered to reply...btw I own an Si, not a 240 (although 240's are sweet track cars) =)

  • seriously man.. just drop it and i'm sry to hear u own a Si.

  • Comment removed

  • yo u are a fast fucking shifter lol ur a funny dude im about ot make that my favorite wow thats fast and smooth lol

  • This guy is shifting fine...Ofcourse its not smooth when you are redlining gears and getting off the clutch hard. His shifting is actually pretty good if you ask me.

  • wow...that's some pretty crappy shifting. And anyone who says otherwise is ridiculously dumb. Every shift was a huge jerk, weight transfer = fail. Smooth is fast.

  • when u do better, u let me know so i can see how it's done, (being sarcastic)

  • cause he was red lining every time. and it was churping into 3rd so that also shows shifting at a very hight rpm

  • not only that, it's a 6speed close ratio gearing. 1-3 are short gears.

  • No offense to you as I did come off a little harsh but regardless of the gearing, shifting should be smooth. You actually lose time banging off shifts than shifting more slowly and reducing the weight transfer of your vehicle.

  • dat was excellent shifting dumb ass!

  • "dat" was not excellent shifting. Let me know when you watch some real drivers drive like Keiichi Tsuchiya and stop idolizing your favourite characters from fast and the furious.

  • first of all i dont like the fast and the furious. i was talking about how fast he was shifting. look at other videos and the pause between shifting is high compared to this

  • a short throw shifter.... which one do you have? just wanted to gather some info before i buy mine. Since there are so many bad review about the ST shifter for the Spec V, I just wanted to hear a review from someone that already has it :D

  • I have the Axxtion STS, it's not sold in stores, there was a person that made them and was selling them on the sentra forums. If i were u, stay away from the STS that are mounted right were ur shifter is. They tend to snap your cable. Get the STS's that are tranny mounted. It's 0 problems and takes 5mins to install.

  • dam bro ur shit pulls with some response....

  • will see how it does at the track when we go lol.

  • $500, if u want more info just call them up.

  • are they more expensive than JWT?

  • It's not going to be listed in there site. You have to call and order, thats wut i did, but they do have a few more in stock.

  • where did you get the BC cams?? they are not on the web site =(
