12 billion is a small price to pay for over a million American jobs. How many jobs does the 3 trillion we spent in Iraq generate? How much did those jobs benefit America?
A gas tax that would bring our gas prices closer to the rest of the world might give us an acceptable road network! And with $5 gas (which is what the rest of the world pays), we might actually change our driving habits. This tax money would go to the government (assuming they use it correctly for argument sake). It's not like this is a GM tax. It's a valid idea that is done in most countries around the world.
Also, good luck finding a Volt if you wanted. They are sold out everywhere.

The public has been buying them at a measly pace of about 300 a month. Gm also loses about 8 grand on every volt they make so production numbers are low and dealers that offer them are limited to a few markets.
At 26:30 or so, Glenn Beck takes things WAY out of context with the $1/gallon gas tax comment. The GM CEO said that as a JOKE about the EPA regulations being put on cars to get higher fuel mileage by 2016. Instead of having to make 40mpg cars, why just jack up gas prices, eh? LOL. I guess Beck didn't pick up on that one.
Also, the Volt is not a crappy car-it's just that the computer in it is smarter than Beck himself lol.
In a free country, you do not have to prove your loyalty to anyone as long as you are an american.. That means no matter the race or RELIGION, mr. Herman cain, a muslim should not have to show his loyalty to you.. That violates the constitution and is similiar segregation of a group..
