  • hehehehe, love this poem! :D

  • Seems edited...

  • @masercot It's hard to know what you mean. Do you think there's more of it?

  • @masercot The refrain is left out of several verses. "Far and few..." at the end of each part...

Love your readings. Especially the Philip Larkin...

  • @masercot Yes, I don't want to be tiresome. I usually compromise by putting the chorus after the frist and last verses. Thank you for your kind words. I hope you'll listen to a few more, especially unfamiliar poets. There's playlists on my channel page for Larkin, etc.

  • @SpokenVerse I used to read that poem to my kids and, of course, they memorized the refrain. The Akond of Swat used to drive my wife crazy with its rhyme scheme...but, my children LOVED it...

And, you have introduced me to a few poets, mostly twentieth century. My youngest (fourteen) also subscribes to you. What you do would qualify as a public service, as far as I'm concerned. And, I thank you...

  • Nice recital, thank you!

  • Amazing recital, thank you!

  • @missri008 Poor baby. Tell Daddy where it hurts.

  • Oh yes. It's a very serious poem.

  • Amazing recital, a lot of the others destroy the atmosphere.

  • One of the first poems I remember from my childhood. How lovely to hear you recite it!

  • I would be happy to recite this to you Penny, I just hope I can do half as good job as this gentleman =] 5*
