  • YeAh!

  • Anyone know the song that the chorus is sampled from?

  • @fpswtfpwn Mobb Deep "Allustrious"

  • The three of you who disliked this video must suffer from autism

  • The revolution will not be telivised.

  • I just took a test and it told me I have a slight sixth sense

    what do i do?!

  • yeah making real Hip-Hop doesnt make you rich

  • dope ass track...Premo laces the shit outta this track...one of my favorite Common Sense tracks, yeah Common Sense

  • CHECK OUT...

    Eli G

  • Wow...Listening to Common's old albums, he really put time and soul in almost all of them especially "Like Water for Chocolate". "The 6th Sense" was such a great song on this album! He really branched out on this one! Nuff respect to Com!

  • I don't care if Common did some Tracks for the Jonas Bros. He's an Absolute Legend in this game, and one of the few MC's that's still doing it Right. So far both new tracks from his recent album is Straight Legit, and I can't wait for the Collab album with Nas.

No matter how many movies/shows he does he will forever be hip hop. FOR CHRIST'S SAKE...THE MAN WROTE "I used to love H.E.R."

I am truly thankful that he's still finding time to do what helped define most of our lives.

  • The book that is this album's namesake is fucking unreal, go read it.

  • This is real, Premo Dilla and Nujabes.

    Legends

  • 3 people do not have a sixth sense.

  • this is a real track. True poineers of the game nothin but respect for these 2 legends

  • Who are the Jonas Brothers?

  • @Renrussian Flaming Homosexuals.

  • music you could either fight, fuck or dream to it

  • music you could either fight, fuck or dream to it

  • "It's real Hip Hop music...from the soul"...that explains the whole of this song.

  • "In front of two-inch glass and Arabs I order fries

Inspiration when I write, I see my daughter's eyes

I'm the truth, across the table from corporate lies

Immortilized by the realness I bring to it

If revolution had a movie I'd be theme music

My music, you either fight, fuck, or dream to it"

  • i'm Morpheus in this hip hop matrix exposing fake shit

  • i'm 15 and just started rapping, check out the remix of this song on my page, thanks! much love to common and preemo for this one

  • common at the castle hotel in manchester next week?? wrong common...

  • 1:06 is the best part of the song... i like how he blended prodigy's voice on this song.

  • 3 dislikes? 3 people don't have the 6th sense !

  • dj premier's mom must stayed on studio...damn.

  • "How many souls Hip-Hop affected, how many dead folks this art resurrected"

    - SO DAMN TRUE !!!!

  • one of the best tracks either of these geniuses ever recorded.

  • this is siiickkkkkk...damn i ain't heard dis in a minute.........

  • represent NY city common and dj premier :DDD

    great rhymes+great instrumental = great song ;)

  • one of the greatest. much props to my man common sense

  • why is dj premier god

  • speak ya' clout statik vibes from the dj. represent common

  • Ahemm.....But this is a DJ Premier track...why all the JDilla versus Kanye Talk??

Much Respect to the Great JD though.RIP.

And stop with the Kanye hate lol...

  • @MaskedTalent I like Kanye but lost alot of respect from him when I found out that 98% of his beats are HEAVILY sampled. Many artists do this but & some of the samples I recognized but DAMN shit is plagarism.lol

  • @chakazulu87 fuck you talkin bout, you know samplin aint about that stupid

  • @NellStalgya I wasn't talking to you bitch? Who the fuck you calling stupid faggots ass nigga.

  • @chakazulu87 thats not the point,if youz a true hiphop head you should know that beat samplin is not steal shit or sumthin, even preem said it they pay hommage in a sort kinda way to the o.g artist bitch

  • @NellStalgya No, you dick sucking faggot too bad you can't read and comprehend public education has failed you huh? I know that artist from all genres sample the point was some "so called producers" do it with EVERY track they make. The point is ppl many artist (term used loosely) of today is just recycle EVERYTHING they do but walk around like they're so fucking genius. That's not saying that sampling is wrong this subject has nothing to do w/ being a hip hop head. YOU FAIL MISERABLY. lol

  • @chakazulu87 i agree witchu if you talkin bout mainstream pop, rnb, dance, that their samplin lack creativity, they are more like covers, but like preemo,he always use samples on everey production, does that make him a so called producer, not really right, correct me if im wrong(which cant be)

  • Common fell off, u must be a comedian. A bad one at that. Still one of the greatest MC's of all time.

  • sick sampling!

  • And sorry for headlining the vid with my comment, I don't know how to make it a normal part of the comments section...

  • Is anyone else tired of Common doing features on Jonas Brothers' tracks? Wtf is he doing...I know, his life is his life I'm not disputing that or putting him down for making his choices. Still though, out of respect for hip-hop it would've been nice if he left the scene quietly and respectfully rather than turning into a store-shelf brand. It's just a thought, I have an enormous amount of respect for the man, I just don't agree with his current musical direction/lack thereof.

  • @decave And Ludacris on a Justin Bieber track? Aside from the fact that it's Justin Bieber, it's just not the sort of shit you'd expect or want them to do. Shit happens I guess =/

  • @decave Yes. Honestly. If it ain't Hip Hop, it ain't Common.

  • @decave In my opinion, I think his last really good record was Electric Circus, which was wildly experimental and awesome. After that, it seems like he's just been half-assing the lyrics, which have unfortunately started to follow in Kanye's footsteps. He's going mainstream, even though he was selling records just fine without doing it. I think, at this point, he's really starting to alienate his biggest fan base: the people who have listened to him from the beginning.

  • @mynameisnotalfredo be was a classic

  • @decave i think your bugging..he sounds sick on premos shit..ut everybody gotta pull they pants up sometime and move onto ither shit ya know

  • @decave If I could've SUPER liked that comment, I totally would've.

  • @decave no i'm not tired of it because i don't check for jonas brothers music. if not for this youtube comment, i wouldn't even know that happened.

  • @SonnyDano

Wow, I wish MY parents had let me surf the internet when I was in 2nd grade.

  • @decave he did music with the jonas brothers? thats kind of funny, but embarassing that he did it.. and you know it

  • @decave Regardless of what people may think, Life is money. I understand where you're coming from. Remember, people are different to you if you don't know who they are. We're not aware of the entire situation as we're not said people. Keep easy, live life, enjoy music.

  • @ClowReaper 4 shizzle

  • @decave who gives a shit about him dooing trakc with them, hes just helping out young dudes making music, its not affecting hismusic, hes not playin guitar or making disney pop. u care to much about image, its sad realy. all this bullshit about resepctin hip hop its wack, ur fucking stangling it, let ppl breathe.

  • @decave He did music with the Jonas Brothers?

    ...Wow.

  • @decave He's just doing that to get money.

  • the real magic in this music is that it travels-----ppl far away---disconnected to the ghetto / american world can relate----we're all humans--art travels and inspires-----why else we still relate to Shakespeare, greek stories, ancient art, fairytales, folk songs, poetry, the list goes on----I am so far removed from this world of the ghetto---but it makes me elated---it allows me to understand how ppl there live and FEEL---I love hip hop- I don't need to be a ni-gger, black, american-just human

  • @speakeasypeterboro I agree. Art is for everyone, Im south african and i also relate! good words man

  • @saxon915 I hope you can relate. We need Native Africans to do so.

  • @decave lol haha too funny

  • The skit at the ending is hilarious.

  • Common is the truth

  • this is rap 4 real, somethin to feel" "this is rap for the black people"

    -Prodigy (Mobb Deep)

  • i guess for all the racist folk, black is a state of mind, not a color of skin...BROWN is a color of skin...black and proud translates to all races meaning, "stand up for your rights", shout out to the rasta rudebwoy Bob Marley..this track is so substantial to any hip hop head..it amazes me how kids confuse hip hop with drake and wayne garbage and have no knowledge...the revolution is near, and thats about as COMMON AS COMMON SENSE..., ~1~

  • @reelTruth112 you are the truth brotha

  • @reelTruth112 you are the truth brotha

  • I miss Guru.......

  • there shouldnt b anyone that doesnt know this is a premo beat,u should know after 5secs of the beat

  • Aw man.. im not black but i like this song.

  • damn another tight primo beat. RIP Guru when he died he took HIPHOP with him

  • @streetart4life nah that aint even true. that's disrespectful to the cats still making REAL hiphop. this lifestyle can't die, there's still cats who feel it deep inside them. like i'm sure you do as well as i brotha

  • Premier

  • "bitch didnt i tell you to get out there?!" lmao

  • R.I.P Dilla. The most listened to producer and no one even knew

  • preemo common good shit! one of the best songs! rep common and preemo! peace norway!

  • Wait what??? Why did he slap that girl at the end? I... I thought he was nice to women............

  • lol he pulled a chris brown

  • @looserdued ik wtf i dont understand

  • @looserdued Its supposed to show how people will stand up for something one second then turn around and do the exact opposite of what they stood for.

  • Wai

  • The three people that hit dislike:

    1 - Lil wayne

    2 - Drake

    3 - Nicki Minaj

    AKA the fake shit

  • @xSoundUpx who cares about the fake shit, this is real hiphop yo word up.

  • @xSoundUpx (LAUGHING)

  • @xSoundUpx exactly!!!!!!!!

  • Thumbs up for Album Cover

  • goddamn this is so good!

  • I've Been A Common Fan For About 6 Years Now ! His Music IS so real ... because these things are really happing in the world !

  • I remember being a very young teenager when this album came out. It forever changed my once ignorant perception of what was good rap music. Definitely one of the greats of the past 10 years.

  • a so good shit!!!!!

  • I really hope Common works with Premo AGAIN! This Beat is a CLASSIC!

  • MAN . THIS SHIT RIGHT HERE IS UNIVERSAL MIND CONTROL. FOREAL. CANT GET ANY REALER THAN THIS . HIP HOP FROM DA SOUL.

  • this beat has premo written all over it

  • if i dont like it, i dont like it...dont mean im hatin.

  • @WhereIs RealHipHop I know, right?

  • 2 people dislike? Smh. NEVER!! This is rap for real. Something you FEEL! This is rap for the Black People!

  • I feel that common allows us to see the different levels of what hip hop can be. People say he's main stream cause of the universal mind control album which was a hot album or he's a cross over artist when it only shows people he can relate to all. Music is music

  • "If I don't like it, I don't like it, that don't mean that I'm hating"

Stop saying people are hating on people its ridiculous to say that when you know the statement is true.

  • WHO THE FUCK WOULD DISLIKE THIS???

  • Love the ending - "hold on a second...bitch; BITCH didn't i tell you to get out there!"

  • anything common and primo do will be classic. the mobb deep sample is dope

  • i feel like i've heard these lyrics in another song...

does anyone know what song it is?

  • Now this is Real Hip Hop. LISTEN TO THIS BEAT!!

  • @TEEYEASCHOOLS yeah man that's a classic primo beats, bilal vocals are dope as well.

    troyd34

  • classic

  • (1:28) "This is rap for black people"

Aw come on.... I like it and I'm not black.

  • @The4LA2Baker0 If you like the Black Culture then you're Black too. By interest, not by Color.

  • @The4LA2Baker0 he was just telling them to change i guess

  • @The4LA2Baker0 This music is not just for black people. Whoever thinks so is ignorant and doesn't know that causing that type of division among people is pointless. That's like saying Train's "Drops of Jupiter" and "Soul Sister" isn't for me to listen to and I'm black.

  • @The4LA2Baker0 I think wat he sayin is dis is for wat dey been through u know he aint sayin its only for them, its for there struggle u know? I mean look at the cover

  • @The4LA2Baker0 Yea kinda makes me feel weird. I went to see wutang i had my hand up and masta killa says something about original black man is god. i put my hand down cuz i felt awkward.

  • @The4LA2Baker0 Me too. Are we not allowed to listen to it ? Ha ha

  • @The4LA2Baker0 You better get more people your race that like this Rap song. (Winks)

  • Common had heart back in Hip-Hop. That contemporary Rap is nothing but toxin; that nonsense on the radio.

  • "The revolution will not be televised, the revolution is here" - Noisecontrollers - Revolution Is Here ..

  • We need Dilla :/

  • Who is the 1 dumbass who disliked this?

  • @BrandNewDay316 i think he was illiterate and thought it said DIS-I-LIKE

  • @zsilvah Hahaha Yeah man.

  • Like Water For Chocolate is in my top 10 Hip Hop albums of all time...

  • SPIN THAT SHIT PREMO! Premier is the greatest DJ of all time, this beat makes me wanna cry its so good

  • 2000! 2-FRICKIN-THOUSAND!!!! THIS IS STILL THE JAM 10 YEARS LATER!

  • PREMO!

  • this is rap the black people

  • @decave I think when j Dilla passed, Common lost some of that soul that was evident in his earlier albums. It seems like he doesnt rap about freedom or God anymore & I think that's when Common IS Common. When he's super concious.

  • Common was at his best with J Dilla, not Kanye!

  • @SW4TR3PP1N bullshit because when common dropped that album produced by kanye called BE. that was a instant classic and brought common mad respect

  • @pellepellecorps Be was dope but c'mon dude. Common was still doin his "soul sh*t" with Dilla. Now that he passed away, Com has been doin more mainstream/pop stuff. not the same, although that verse he spit on John Legend - wake up everybody gives me hope.

  • @SW4TR3PP1N It dont gotta be one or the other. He could be tight with both.

  • @SW4TR3PP1N THIS IS PRIMO

  • @kevinx237 yeah i know, im just saying he was best with Dilla.

  • @SW4TR3PP1N Kinda like choosing a Aston martin or a Bentley. Though Dilla was a pioneer. And people like Kanye wouldn't be around if it was not for him. Even he would admit that.

  • @SW4TR3PP1N awwwwww im sorry hes dead and gone and west is his friend get over it. (no disrespect to dilla)

  • @SW4TR3PP1N this was a premo beat

  • @SW4TR3PP1N well who is the fuck is kanye to the great j dilla?? lol

  • haha i like the ending lol hilarious

  • I miss THIS Common not the new sellout "universal Mind Control" one... who brags about being fresh like he's wrapped in plastic"... WACK!

BRING BACK THE COMMON WHO USES DILLA AND DJ PREMIER BEATS, NOT PHARRELL AND KANYE BEATS

  • @FINGERSFORTEETH kanye has been the main producer for 2 albums "BE", and Finding Forever BE is arguably Common's best album, and Finding Forever was a great album as well.

Now i can understand what you meant by Pharrell

  • for the full track download mp3 here

    beemp3.com/download.php?file=1388531&song=The+6th+Sense

  • Put the blunt in da air like u just dont care

  • Premo litterly makes the best beats, this song shows his talent, and even years after Gang Starr, he's still got it, The man is a genius, and i'm not taking anything away from Common either, He's an amazing rapper.

  • great stuiff! yeah this rocks!

  • beautiful more to say?

  • Powerful

  • this is a an awsome song!

  • yeah common is the man. this one is going on my ipod lol

  • This is rap for real, something you feel.

  • I LOVE mp3iffy it WORKS just google mp3iffy.

  • NICE TRACK!!!!!

  • this is the real hip hop.... end of story

  • you can never get bored of this!!

  • This is when common was THE man!!!

  • "its common sense with DJ Premier we gonna help yall see clear its real hip hop music from the soul yall"

    dope ass track!

  • If revolution had a movie, I'd be theme music

  • -- like who's he making fun of by being a pimp, yet acting that he respects women? why have it in the song?

  • It's a fan thanking him for respecting women, and then he's just joking around at the end.

  • @cjchung

That's a good question cjchung. I think Common uses the skit as a dark moniker his own imperfect morality and ethical code. Obviously Common is a "conscious" rapper but he's also very unpretentious, and he acknowledges that he's only human. Basically he's saying that despite everything he's far from perfect. That's just my opinion, what do you all think?
