look she is a fantastic artist, one of a kind, but her personal life is her own business. she lets her music do the talking, she doesn't go in to the tabloids for the celebrity, have concern for her sure, if you care, but otherwise keep you views and opinions to yourself because she has never invited the press into her life and there for should have some privacy.
How can society or anyone condemn someone for "drugs" in our hypocrit society. The worst drug by far for personal and societal damage is alcohol - also the most associated with violence - a drug advertized and glamorized. The only solution that works: Legalize because it wont be stopped, and take the revenue out of organized crime and into education, including strong, early programs on drug abuse (and all forms of addiction). How can society or anyone condemn someone for "drugs" in our hypocrit society. The worst drug by far for personal and societal damage is alcohol - also the most associated with violence - a drug advertized and glamorized. The only solution that works: Legalize because it wont be stopped, and take the revenue out of organized crime and into education, including strong, early programs on drug abuse (and all forms of addiction). Amy rocks (and blues)!

one of the things that i like about her is that she's a singer/songwriter....she was only 19 when she wrote this...an issue that most people in their late 20s or 30s go through....she plays guitar, she channels things from 40s jazz and 60s music...free verse with no real chorus...its just a different thing, but there are also people that just dont like her, my friend is one of them

I have to agree with you completely on this. I'm no proponent of drugs or drug culture. But I've never understood why people get on her case specifically about her abuse. If society shunned every artist that one time abused drugs, you might as well close the rock n roll hall of fame and shrink most museums in half. I think it's wrong to judge her any differently than the Beatles/Stones. I hope she handles her addictions for selfish reasons. The world is simply better with her music in it.
