@endykeith - Eh, not really. If watch the videos from Anderson, SC, you can hear this guy heckling and taunting the players. Not the worst language in the world, but he's a bit of a loud mouth himself. And he definitely rode certain players who weren't to his liking.

Theres reason to get angry about an umpire throwing a guy, and refusing to explain his reasoning. From what I saw, the batter did mouth something(what he said I have no idea, couldn't read his lips) but the ejection came after a ball, and the batter never said a word about it.

@quinnix62 - Fair point, however, there were probably 30 people left in the stands when the ejection occurred - it was the 7th inning of an 11am game on a day where the temp was almost 100 degrees. And the PA system was blasting "Why Can't We Be Friends" to drown out the argument. The only reason you can hear it so clearly is because we happened to have Backman mic'd up for the game.
