cool review. i have not seen this movie, i actually didnt want to see it at all, i thought it looked like shit but after seeing ur review, im a little interested, it still sounds like the story is a little similar to nightmare on elm street in a way or like shocker. idk maybe il check this one out.ill give craven props for at least making a new "original" movie
you know i saw it and i really wanted to love it but something kept me from that. i really respect what craven did with the film. i liked how he wrote the teen characters, even though they were the stand types... he really did something different with each one. i loved what he did with the plot and such... but there was no real character to root for, that was my only beef... it felt disconnected because he kept things too vague and not enough to feel for a character and feel for the movie.
I thought My Soul to Take was pretty good and a lot of fun. It had it's problems,but overall a fun popcorn flick! I agree though, we do need to support more original horror flicks.

Great review man!!
