Best performance in the entire Harry Potter saga. I cannot believe that the Academy overlooked this performance. WTF?????!!!!!! Alan Rickman should have been nominated an Oscar for this. The guy basically put his heart and mind into this role for 10 years. Severus Snape is truly the best character he ever played and this scene alone proves how powerful of an actor Rickman is. @DutchHPfan1992 Severus was indeed a very skilled wizard. Already as a child he could control magic, as we see in the memories as he makes the leaves fly and that without a wand even. But i'm sure Dumbledore would consider killing him. I guess Severus was in doubt as well, hence the begging not to just finish him of. Don't forget Dumbledore was furious with him for telling Voldemort about the prophecy that would send voldemort straight to two people he loved and kill their infant child.
