  • I dont see anything other than close ups. Not 3d in the least at least from the video i see here. I still use the anaglyph glasses and with my pc colors set perfect i get almost perfect quality 3d when playing games. Its so good that I cant see paying for anyhting to give you 3d effect. thousands of dollars on a tv that is 3d but still uses anaglyph without the colors. Not worth the money yet. This tech here would be well worth it if it works. cant tell siting here.

  • Yay, lets all have fun watching TV at a certain distance/angle...

  • @BRMC888 angle at least...such as my family which allways sits spread all over the room while watching tv. If we were to buy this kind of tv, we would have to either sit right behind one and another with our eyes on top of the head of the person in front of us to see clearly, or watch one at a time...still, it's an interesting breaktrough:P

  • The point of showing us a video of this was? Autostereoscopy only works when you're using both of your eyes.

  • im not impressed by all this new 3d stuff coming out, u can barely c a difference in any of it, if i looked at a tv that was 3d and no one told me it was a 3d tv i dont think i could even tell the difference (except fo the double lines)

  • you can kinda see it even with the camera

  • By using this type of technology, not necessarily this model can source images be duplicated on the different viewing angles of the screen ?

In other words can a 2 frame stereoscopic 3D source be duplicated to fill 6 angles of the screen so that me and two other people can watch in 3D ? Obviously sat at just the right spacing and with eyes horizontal to the screen

  • People are so stupid to record a 3d screen with a 2d camera and putting it on youtube...It's like watching a 3d movie with a hand on one of your eyes...

  • @jonathancocaud and recording the tv with a 3d camera would make a difference :)) ? (tv wise of course, not for the room the tv is in ;) )

  • thats dumb because when you move your head nothing happens

  • @redrosecross Becouse todays 3d only gets depth perception ,nothing else . We dont have technology to create a display viewing 3D image from diffrent angles and we dont have a powerfull hardware and storage to process hundred of video streams for specified angle on the screen :] .

  • @hydzior hmm they said they are releasing a public version of it though soon, I guessing they use a 3d camera that renders it?

  • Great idea in theory but what is that terrible banding effect as the camera moves side to side? I have made lenticular images of my own and it looks like the effect you get when the lens isn't attached to the image correctly.

  • auto3d is so much better than regular 3d, who wants to wear, and have to buy those clunky glasses.

  • @rtb1980

because with glasses, you can enjoy 3D from anywhere in the room. auto3d only works right in front of the TV.

  • Actually most of the models availalbe right now can be seen from 9 different view points. And Philips is coming out with an Auto 3D TV that they say will be able to be viewed from 46 different angles.. I can't wait!

  • @rtb1980 problem is the flaring when you change your position, so its a low quality 3d effect, better suited for shoping centers or other places where you whant 3d advertisement

  • auto3d is so much better than regular 3d, who wants to wear, and have to buy those clunky glasses.

  • Yay!

    3d Porn!

WHERE DO I SENT THE CHECK?

  • im partialy blind meaning the glasses are compleatly usless to me, although im wondering if this tv will alow me to see the 3d images with only one eye

  • clutch26 - By moving your head horizontally, you can watch the different Angles Of View taken by the 8 cameras. This video taken by a single lens camera simulates watching with a single eye. I moved the camera (second 32 till 38) horizontaly to demonstrate the multiple views by a single eye.

Click on the link for alioscopyusa (at more info) to learn about the 8 interleaved images which produce the autostereoscopic 3D effect.

  • Sorry dude, you'll need both eyes to get the effect...

  • @clutch26 If you can't see in 3D in real life, how would you know if youre viewing 3d on a screen without moving your head? I only have usable vision in one eye aswell so i'm in the same boat.

  • @clutch26 - No this whole 3D tech is based on Steroscopic images, in other words, sending 2 different images to each eye. Even Autostereoscopic which is no glasess wouldnt work (well from what i understand). Only thing that would work is holograms, where the light is in a fixed position.

  • @clutch26 No becouse one eye = no depth perception :] .

  • @hydzior Dude, I've got a lazy eye, and I never had problem watching 3d movies ... When I look, I only use my left eye.. the right eye goes dark, but if I only look with my right eye I have vision but very blurry

  • @clutch26 with only one eye you cant watch the stereoscopic effect.

  • i wont buy this i would prefer to wear the glasses then have a tv where u have to directly in front of it all the time to have it be 3D.. i personally don't know why people don't like to wear glasses i don't see whats wrong with them.

  • @Destructozor Would you really want to wear glasses in the house? What if there is a group of people watching a movie? You will have to buy a glasses for each person. Frankly, I think this is a good idea. Get rid of the glasses and do 3D right with depth perception. I don't mind using the glasses in the theater because that's an event, but having to wear a glasses for a movie or television show at home is a no go for me.

  • i would love to wear glasses around the house and if i was gonna have a group of people round for a movie i'd make sure i'd have enough glasses coz i aint stingy when it comes to friends plus with those alioscopy tv in the vid above try fitting more than 10 people around watching that only 2-3 will have it in full 3D as not everyone will be directly in front of it. at least with the glasses u dont runthe risk of dodgy 3D unless u physically take them off. :)

  • That is why autostereoscopy is still in its infancy and has a lot of improvements on the horizon. The 3D glasses has the same effect. Seriously, I'm not going to wear glasses in the house just to watch television. What about people who casually watch TV? People who wear glasses? Keep the glasses for the theaters. Get rid of the glasses for in-home viewing.

  • @Destructozor yes if you have lot of money to buy 3D glasses for your friends etc :] . 3D active sutter glasses are not cheap :} . 100US Dollars for one pair ... :]

  • So if this is possible, why all the 3D glasses TV that are coming out. I for one will not sit with glasses just to watch a movie in 3D

  • I was here
