@bchobo Look at the pattern of the rainbow, the layer formation and the inverted rainbow on the outside, it's shape connotes time warping or folding, some bend or disturbance in the circle. The signs in the sky. There are also images of the rainbow showing three layers of rainbow, all three red on the outside, the science of the rainbow is not understood by humans, except Collin. Collin wins.

@hypothermia2 in nordern mythology the rainbow is associated to the passage between the realms of Ásgard and Midgard (aka: heaven and earth if you want).

I'm not in the head of uriah heep (composer of this song) but I doubt they were refering to the rainbow as a gay symbol... and vintersorg is quite known to be into nordern mythology.

I got into Uriah Heep thru Vintersorg, my favorite vocalist. Visions from the Spiral Generator is one of my favorite albums ever!! Spirited and emotional operatic lyrics over an undulating wave of riffs, drum acrobatics, and a keyboard backdrop. It's no wonder most genres of metal pay homage to this!
