Nice try, but this TOTALLY lacks the "slam" and impact of the original. Sounds like it's been totally compressed to h###. Freakin' losers in the music production industry these days.
@bchobo Look at the pattern of the rainbow, the layer formation and the inverted rainbow on the outside, it's shape connotes time warping or folding, some bend or disturbance in the circle. The signs in the sky. There are also images of the rainbow showing three layers of rainbow, all three red on the outside, the science of the rainbow is not understood by humans, except Collin. Collin wins.
@hypothermia2 in nordern mythology the rainbow is associated to the passage between the realms of Ásgard and Midgard (aka: heaven and earth if you want).
I'm not in the head of uriah heep (composer of this song) but I doubt they were refering to the rainbow as a gay symbol... and vintersorg is quite known to be into nordern mythology.
It's a good cover song, I'm a big fan of Uriah Heep and love Vintersorg's stuff as well "Visions from the Spiral Generator" is an amazing album people should check that out.
I got into Uriah Heep thru Vintersorg, my favorite vocalist. Visions from the Spiral Generator is one of my favorite albums ever!! Spirited and emotional operatic lyrics over an undulating wave of riffs, drum acrobatics, and a keyboard backdrop. It's no wonder most genres of metal pay homage to this!
Yes definitely Uriah Heep were the band that got me inspired to start playing keyboard more seriously, Ken Hensley is one of the greatest metal/rock keyboardist around he doesn't seem to get much props for it either. He could really make the B3 organ sing...

Vocals sound like a very bad Boris Karloff impersonation in the intro. Makes song lose all credibility. Just another cover that fails to make it to the top of the "Heep"
Vintersorg's Vocals are awesome, a lot better than original, taking in consideration Vintersorg makes all music by himself, he is the band., music and voclas by vintersorg. yeah in your face.
Both Uriah Heep and Vintersorg kicks ass. This a great song, and this is a great version!

This version has so much more emotion in it than Uriah Heeps. The original is a Heep of crap compared to this lol.

Pretending to be Finish? I mean, the forced double kick, bad opera vocals and strong accent.. kinda ruins MY FAVOURITE SONG OF ALL TIME. ;)

You don't honestly think that a cover is supposed to sound exactly like the original, do you?
