  • Dr. Dixon does a great job of getting his point across -- we have limited time and if we want to make things happen, we need to do a good job of connecting with those people that we work with!

  • I have watched all 44 minutes and 3 seconds of this video. You are amazing. Absolutely wonderful.

  • Great!

  • Simply loved the way the entire event was conducted.Would love more such events to come up.

  • I envy your energy, manage such a big audience is complicated i learned a lot of things that will be helpful in my job. Thanks.

  • Today started dull; I actually planned to take off and stay home, depressed.

Then I thought of watching some management stuff, so I carried breakfast to the desk.

I happened to see this video, and feeling the change already.

Today's going to be a great day!

  • 2 much information for a youtube video...44minutes maybe you should limit it to 15minutes. It is interesting though!

  • I was with him all the way up until the "carbon offset" part.

  • Life is too short to waste on things that don't matter - what a powerful message!

  • BLAH...BLAH...BLAH....TOO MUCH DRAMA AND LIMITED CONTENT

  • i wish the sound was higher .... I really appreciate your work :)

    thanks from casablanca, morocco

  • That guy has Parkinsons disease or what? Be funny if he fell off the stage. haha! Good job though trying to inspire people.. ;-)

  • Sir, that was brilliant. I thank you. You are right though, emotion powers people to do all things.

  • Hollywood Wealth Vids Forum

  • Four minutes in, my newly-appointed-manager other half... fell asleep :P

  • I thought this was a joke.

  • Patrick Dixon is awesome in this presentation. Understanding our emotions is absolutely necessary for our success in life. Our thoughts are extremely important in everyday life whether in our personal or business lives.

  • Quite the dancer!

  • @HumanSayNo Energy on stage 1000% vital before 4,500 people to maintain connection and engagement in what is being said. Remember from the back my entire body is smaller than someone's thumbnail if they hold out their hand in front of them. And huge video screens just convert a live experience into watching TV - not the same at all.

  • @pjvdixon

Thanks Mr. Dixon, your body language is quite convincing for me. I understand your words more when your body language combine with words.

  • corporations must die

    freedom to individuals

i rather live in a jungle than deal with corporate f***rs

    don't give your powers away

having the knowledge to build and atomic bomb is one thing, being wise enough not to drop it on Japan is another thing,,,, go figure that one out SHEEPLE

  • Promoting "carbon credits" in 2008.

Lecturing about the economic impact of SARS.

    Hmm...

  • Great speech. Most corporations do not understand that emotion is the key motivator and the ones that do understand prey on negative emotions, such as fear. Fear can only accomplish so much and can hinder a company's progress.

  • Connect with all the passions of the human heart to make things happen.

  • @Journey2entrepreneur GOOD POINT, I wish there were more thinkers out there - for the well being of their-SELF and everyone else also... We should teach each other this from an early age. (see - individualimpact1 - channel) This is helping!

  • Prediction is made very difficult by supposed choas theory when you break it down simple ;)

  • Yes - no one can be certain about the future but the fact is that we all plan, think about tomorrow, invest in projects. Every leader has to be a Futurist because it is impossible to lead without vision, and that requires a view about what the future could be. It is a lazy way out to say they future cannot be predicted and so we just wait to react to what happens. Your future is what you make it. Take hold of the future or the future will take hold of you.

  • @pjvdixon I totally agree sir......I have been doing biological research for a number of years........the only thing holding ourselves back is us!

  • Cool video.... very funny... yet basically empowering.

  • Thanks - glad you liked it. I am never quite sure what people will like best on this channel so just upload a lot of different things - and hope some of it is helpful.

  • Patrick, I wish to become a motivational speaker like yourself on these same topics. I believe, the more people reaching the various countries of the globe, the faster the change can evolve.

  • Thanks - I made a whole load of videos - on my channel about 10 tips for public speakers - type "how to give great presentations dixon" into YouTube to find all 10.

  • I like patrick, I like his speech, full of emotion and energy.

  • Hi Patrick, appreciated the energy on the stage and intention to show what you were talking about. I personally feel passion is one of those currencies that we are truly missing out on, most of it is because if we are really true to task we do not leap out of bed in the morning singing "I'm going to work today"

  • Thanks Dave - passion and energy are really important. Life is too short to do things you don't believe in.

  • As I say when I work with senior leaders, great leaders are value-based, they have strong and non-negotiable traits such as integrity, humility & authenticity, as well as the intelligence and vision to inspire. For example, Bush has none of these characteristics, which goes some way to explaining why he is the most hated leader in american history, a trend shared by the rest of the world. This is wonderful Patrick - thankyou.

  • Thanks - glad you enjoyed it. Enjoy the main globalchange site - link top right of this page.

  • Dear, it was really excellent. Looking forward to see more of such from you soon.

  • Simply Fantastic...really great info for me as a small business owner from Malaysia. Hope you can give more info bout how to be a great event planning management company in near future.

  • Patrick excellent delivery, great learning points. Well done and thanks for sharing

  • Thanks - I am so glad you enjoyed the video and found it helpful. Remember to check globalchange and dot and com - link top right on this page. 11 million visitors on related issues. Patrick

  • If you don't mind me asking I was curious as to where you earn most of your money. Is it in books, speeches, private consultations, or perhaps your website?

  • Corporate events, consulting, advising - working with very large multinationals. As with most authors of business-related books, most revenues come from application of ideas into an actual business rather than from retail sales. That is why I give the ideas away in video, 6 books online (free), hundreds of articles and all my slides. The real value comes in personal engagement, and in what happens inside the minds of a live audience, experiencing together a speaker who changes how they think.

  • Patrick, thank you for sharing that information.

  • Hi Patrick:

I like your public speaking abilities and I was wondering If you can share how much it takes you to prepare each of these seminars?

You seem to know the stuff from the bottom of your heart and it just amazes me to see the depth of your skills. Any light shed over the subject would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

    musican

  • Thanks - each presentation is unique. This one was complex - not only totally new presentation on new theme with 4,500 audienec, but also one huge potential with large screen /stage. Turned up Las Vegas 2 days early to work with equipment, screens, lighting, stage, carefully crafting each image and clip for maximum impact. Integration of me onto the radar and other elements required some practice. The material is deeply buried in my mind beforehand, and powerpoint is great prompt (data).

  • Do make comments on any issues touched on by this video - I read every one and will reply where I can tho with 11 million users of my various sites it can sometimes take a little while. Thanks Patrick Dixon

  • How interesting - never heard of him or seen him. Waiting for lifts is of course, sadly, a universal trial of human life. Patrick Dixon

  • Thank you for your leadership...

We are all in debt to you for your work my friend.

    -5 Stars-

  • Thanks very much - I do appreciate your endorsement - rating and favouriting these videos helps other people find useful content. Yours Patrick

  • GREAT VIDEO...

  • Very good Patrick ... I will include much of your advice in my future presentations.

  • Thanks. The difference between a leader and a robots is passion. Robots may present data and show intelligence, but people follow others they trust, and feel connected to. Leadership has to connect with emotion as well as ideas.

  • Patrick you're the greatest! Your speeches are sensational and offer great insights. I always look forward to your new videos.

  • The free time of face to face conferences is where you discuss the ifs, the maybees; where someone else fills in that missing piece of your part formed idea. You would not put it in writing, but just talking over a coffee it is OK.

P.S. you presssed the lift button again didn't you?

  • Thought this was brilliant, I hit on it randomly and was transfixed to the end!

  • Thanks so much - really encouraging - Patrick Dixon

  • To find people passions I sometimes like to ask them what country they are from and what kind of food they like :)

  • Best video yet!

  • Thanks - that was my own thought but hard to tell oneself. Some people prefer smaler meetings and quieter style. Patrick

  • I do hope you enjoy this presentation for 4,500 event organisers - for MPI in Las Vegas. It is about far more than just creating great events: leadership, motivating teams, making things happen. I am really interested in your comments / debates on the content of this video - I read them all and reply where I can.. Help others find what is helpful by rating (stars on left) and favouriting
