I got to see Tara at the top of Snow Summit's DH course some years ago when we were waiting to do our practice runs; she was a few riders ahead of me. I recall how her beautiful eyes really stood out, and how incredibly fast, fluid, smooth, and graceful she carried her incredible speed down the mtn. I hope to god that she can return to racing; if not, she is already making a difference in others' lives. My best wishes to Tara and her family. She's a true fighter and champ through and through.
I say to you the same thinks that a special person for me recently said to me. Although all the things that happen that they seems go against what we dream, we can not desist. Your dream cannot finish becouse a thing did wrong. Go ahead for what you want! The chances always will appear. We need to hold them and go ahead becouse always others and others will appear, if we not desist what we dream.
I used to ride and even race MTBs and I stopped 10 years ago. I got married, got fat, out of shape... Haven't really been riding since. I feel ashamed of myself for neglecting the use of my legs. I'm going to tune up my old bike and go for a ride in the honor of Tara.

She definitely seems like she appreciates what she has. It could've been worse. I really enjoyed this video. Her positive attitude really warmed my heart.
hey why don't you just shut the fuck up! tara's a friend of mine. this is what you say to ppl who are paralyzed? you are the ultimate pussy... go fuck yourself
Tara!i know u can do it!i had jst watch ur vid on bike skills teaching roots rock and water crossing!i hope and pray that ull recover soon!JAH BLESS U TARA!
The reporter seems a little fake and the piano music is lame- but Tara is super-hot... even in a wheelchair. If she beats the odds though she seriously needs to stop competing and risk taking. She has had so many injuries! I really want to see her walk again though.
You people who say that you are "sure you will make a full recovery" are way out of line. A severed spinal cord does not reattach. Most paraplegics do not walk again. Sorry, but we all have to face reality. I hope she proves otherwise, but don't bet on it. GO TARA!
Tara, you are a true champion! On behalf of all bikers from the Papatrilhas Bikers group in São Paulo, Brazil, I would like to wish all the best in your recovery. I am going to post this video in our blog so people in Brazil can learn about you and donate. Cheers!
