I don't get why so many people are slagging him off, I think he's great here! I usually don't like the comedians they have on this show, but this guy was my favourite. However, I've never seen much of Phil Kay (apart from this and when he was on QI).

I saw Phil Kay about a month ago. He was totally off his nut. Really drunk (i think?) He ended up showing a skidmark on his pants to the audience (his trousers were round his ankles by this point). To be honest it was awful, and I really wanted to enjoy him as I remember his '...Feels' show back in the day was great, but he was just wasting time on improv that wasnt funny so he could get paid.

Ive seen him 3 times in the Rep in Dundee and am away to see him again this Friday, his stand up show is different each time and of all the top UK stand ups ive seen his show is the best. Sometimes a bit hit and miss but he makes the audience feel part of the show in a friendly non threatening way. Funny and very friendly guy, he shakes the entire audiences hand after the gig! lol.

im a big phil kay fan and have enjoyed his comedy for years. i also enjoyed this but it is infact funnier to imagine the other viewers of this clip getting angry and frustrated at not finding this funny at all. it makes his style all the more unique when you can geniunely tell people dont like it. phil, you are a genius.the end.

absolutely sean, your opinion is just as valid as mine. the point i was trying to make was that his humour is often deliberately baffling and incohearant, and i enjoy the mental image of some people just not getting it - or as some mention ''he's just not funny and looks like he's on drugs''. i know plenty of people who dont care for his style, and there's nothing wrong with that- im just glad i find his style to my liking. if you dont, there's nothing wrong with that.
