One of my all time favorites. It may have influenced me to love the ensembles in opera where the singers express different thoughts all at the same time. I played this song on radio station WAMB in Nashville in 2007, because I think it still makes a powerful statement. I think June filled in with Stan Kenton as the "girl singer" in the early 50's for a short while. I also like "The Wedding" by Julie Rodgers.

I always liked this song - when Arthur Godfrey made fun of it and panned it the little respect I had for him was gone - he was not a nice person.

I always liked June Valli and I wore out
my single of "Apple Green" years ago.
It makes me sad to learn she passed away
since I was not aware of it. May she rest
in peace.
