@Johnmunn01 Simple answer is MASS shipping saves money and with Gibson theirs NO shipping internationally to deal with. Most counties Have the prices I said, right now a Traditional is £1750 and a Standard is £1900 after a recent price drop....

but i wonder why Yui's LP Standard doesn't have metal tuner buttons... all Standards that I've come across (yours too) are in metal. But hers look like they're in pearl. =/

@incubusskj Pre 2008 they did come with Gibson Deluxe Tulip Tuners, their now called the "Traditional" BUT they changed the control knobs for some reason...

I have a preference for Grovers so im good...

Did the guitar come with the pick-guard or did you fit one yourself?

I've been playing with a teacher for 7 months now, so I grasp sheet music and can tune by ear (Been able to do this for a while tho..)

I should really get up to speed with chords soon, I can do improv now :) by hear a song and copy the tune myself (My fav at the mo "Ano Hi no Yume")

Well I'll buckle down and see how I do. I don't see this as a hobby I want it to be a profession...

I wanted to buy Les Paul.. but I'm just curious; Is there any difference in appearance of the Epiphone (v2) u owned compared to this Gibson (despite of colors)? And are you sure this is Cherry Sunburst? Isn't this looks like a Honeyburst? (or maybe just camera matters?)

btw.. both are really-just-so damn nice.. hoshii na :)

@Kuz4m3 The physical difference are minor really the Gibson has a V shaped headstock, dunlop straplok buttons, locking jack & shallower pickup surrounds.

Its coated in nitrocellulose, and as a result is a darker colour than you get with an Epiphone covered in polythene but arguably the Epiphone will endure more wear before reaching the paint job.

With Gibsons its more to do with high quality electronics & setup. But as my "Gary Moore" Proves an Epiphone with Gibson Guts is a fare match...

@03lenn To me £1,240! but as stated at the start NEW from the likes of Dawsons £2,000!

Took nearly a month to get it at that price as when they did appear which was few they went REALLY quickly, I was eventually lucky to get this one after 4 attempts...
