Lol you said this came out in the 80's and Steve Roach was ahead of the game....well this type of music dates back even further...ie groups like "Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Ash Ra Tempel, Heldon, Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Pink Floyd"...yes Pink Floyd.

So Steve Roach was not ahead of the game.

@LitiviousSpartus yeah your right, there were many ambient artists before steve, my musical knowledge is behind the game. I have many of the artists you described in my collection and a few eno tracks uploaded on my channel. Roach's lighter ambience is still my favourite and unique in its own right.
