  • god this would have epic event to be at i live in northern me and it is a couple hundred miles to the nearest open drive in around here I went to the boarderland drive in located in houlton me still there but been closed since 1985 and is pretty much in ruins also went to the west enfield drive in back in 86 or 87 that place is gone now! I wish the boarderland could be rebuilt and opened again! thanks for the great footage and all those classic cars at the drive in!

  • Yeah, this is one of my favorites, makes me curious what was on the other part of the show, to fill the hour time slot. For years I ran OUTDOOR MOOVIES back to back with REQUIRED VIEWING, hense my name here. Just checking in, seeing what kind of comments these clips have garnered. We are planning an OHIO trip, probably Southern Ohio...and we might go down to Dearborn to see what the FORD drive in looks like...are the Wyoming signs down?

  • Thank you, rhodes wayne 55, for the nice comment. It was nice to hear from an event participant.

  • The Capri drive in is the best place to go its allways clean @ A great place to take your family. That night was really Rockin with Paul Lemat @ Butch Patrick they are realy cool down to earth guys they were looking under hoods talking to every one I hope they come back again .That was one of the best nights that I ever had @ crusie in my grey 1952 plymouth with the Rattle can Rodders car club having A ball

  • The event was THE highlight of my public access days. Both celebs were real nice and the cool cars were frosting on the cake.

  • NICE.

  • Your hard work shows. This is not crap, like some. People simply don't bother to comment but that doesn't mean they didn't admire or enjoy your videos.

  • I wondered about that ending, too. I thought maybe they were actors at an abandoned drive in. Thanks for the answer. The Getty sounds like a nice place. The Civic Center footage was sad. I wonder why they tore it down?

  • The bulding falling down was the Civic Center in Lansing, Michigan.

The "abandoned" drive-in is actually the still-open Getty 4 Drive-In in Muskegon, MI. That clip was shot during the refacing of their main screen.

  • Nice Logos at the end but I'm a bit perplexed. Before the building falls down, there is a brief shot of people walking towards a snack bar, but, the screen looks like it has been torn away and only the frame of the tower remains. It does not look like you manipulated the image but if you did it was flawless. Why are people at what appears to be an abandoned drive in walking to the snack bar. That strange image has Twilight Zone written all over it, what gives?

  • @tvdinnerguyable It was a WEIRD DRIVE IN MOMENT aka Thne Getty 4 Screen mid-rennovation

  • It was nice to see all those classic cars roll through the ticket booth. To jd starlit 27: I'll agree that the interviews in part one are probably THE highlight of this 2 part clip, but, i liked part 2 better because it showcased the classic cars more. The building falling down at the end was a surprise. Where was it? Autos now adays are so drab, and yet, every car built prior to, say, '65 seems to have more character. The Am Gr movie trailer is on You Tube! I may never watch TV again!

  • GREAT VIDEO! Part one was great, too. I watched the Munsters a lot when I was a kid. The interview with Butch Patrick in Part One was nice, as was the one with Paul LeMat. I couldn't place the ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK musicians but I bet that was by design. Why worry about copyrights when you can present ORIGINAL segments like this! I think I liked part one better, but, part two had a lot of classic cars and that's always nice. The Capri looks like a cool drive in. FIVE STARS!

  • Looks like everyone had a really fun time down at the CAPRI! It's nice that the owners take the time to create special events and bring in celebs. I was too young to see American Graffiti at the movies, but, even on VHS it was a very entertaining film. Paul Lemat seemed like a nice guy in the interview in part one. and it was nice to see butch patrick all grown up. Too bad they didn't have his yellow coup there but oh well. I liked the fr.act that this was a two parte

  • It was great to see these 2 icons from the past...Paul LeMat(John Milner of American Graffiti) and Butch Patrick(Eddie Munster).

Looks like a great night of fun and nostalgia.
