@MrStickMonkey Camcorders are much less hassle! They just don't do quite the same level of stuff for the same money sadly! I'd have gone for a HD camcorder if i wasn't such a snob XD That canon looks the dogs danglies too!

right awesome vid mate im now defo going nikon , what lens were you using ? can u use exposure comp to bring it back like a 1/3rd of a stop then the it would have been spot on

@TheFred1021 Yeah of course mate, i set everything manually on this, the only trouble with the exposure was that because the D7000 doesn't have a flippy screen i had to set the exposure without me in the chait and guess how much difference the white scratchplate and me would make! And.. of course, there is always post editing anyway! For this i upped the reds everso slightly for warmth and upper the contrast by a few clicks!

@voodooriders  ahh right got ya , you should have a look online for some software to let you shoot tethered so than you could have a live feed in your pc/laptop screen and be able to sit in place and have a look how things are , there's some free open source ones around

@ooosajafferthen Yeah it's nice as pie innit :D I was on 400ISO there so i reckon i could have gone for 200 with an f4, i used f6,2 on this one (i think it is, you can see the amp is clearer in the background) as i wanted a bit of a wider dof so i couldn't move in and out of focus as easily!

It might be too much, but you know you can use 1080p with the D700 and encode it at 3mbps to keep the file size down?

@hughh20 Yeah i wanted to progress to the 1080 XD this was in 720p 25fps instead of 24fps as my editing prog has 720p 25fps as a startup option and not 24p! Weird i thought. This vid was only 100mb, so i'm not that fussed about size, i think a 1080p vid would only be a little bigger! Cheers dude :)
