In my opinion, polls greatly underestimate the percentage of atheists in the US. I mean there used to be a time in which I would say I was a Christian, even on paper, just to fit in. But at no time in my life have I ever been anything but an atheist.
The sign just brings up the question. I will not de convert you but it makes you think. Or maybe a atheist kid is in a religious family and doesn't know that there are others like him.
It's not the sign it's that Christians are smarter then Athiest think. It started with this one bilboard but now this year they put up a sign that say's "You know it's a myth this year celebrate reason" They knew that this would lead to something worse. Even last year we saw them put up signs next to courthouses in which the state decided to be kind and bend the law for the holiday season and allow a menorah, christmas tree, and manger scene in the courthouse.
