This tutorial didn't really teach anything :P sure, now we know that you can force a pre-recorded vocal to any key you want... but you never tell anyone how this was done (apart from turning the "target midi notes via midi" button on).

Nothing about how such set up might be created.

For some reason antares auto-tune doesn't get any MIDI data even though all other plug-ins do work with my MIDI keyboard. I'm using Ableton Live. Can someone help? This is the only feature I'm needing from this software, to be able to make speeches sound like singing. Look for example Symphony Of Science songs.

On the Antares website, it lists all the hosts that you can and cannot target autotune via midi. Unfortunately for you, there is an exception to Ableton's full functionality compatibility. You'll need to go to the antares website to read exactly what it says, but I believe Ableton is NOT capable of doing this.

yes it works like a VST plug in so just use it as an instrument and there are autotune default settings like what T-pain an cher used so just upload it to your autotune synth and then edit it to how you want it to sound than save it

yes, but dont use it as a VST! go to your mixer channel in FL and use autotune as an FX, not as a vst =D. Just instal autotune, and then go to your mixer fx and click more, and refresh (fast scan). Then autotune will appear in red as a new f. hope that helps! :D

In Sony Acid 7, how do I use AutoTune 5 to take an audio track which is a speech and then combine it with a midi track to make it seem like the speech is now a song singing the midi notes?

I think the way to do it would be to make the midi track look at an inserted FX buss but I don't know how to to that.

the higher vocal harmony doesn't sound very realistic, it almost sounds kinda chipmunky if that makes sense. thats why I wish they could come up with easier to use software for recording all that shit that actually sounds more realistic. yes. You don't even need a keyboard for autotune however. you can just use the mouse pointer or even the computer keyboard...People bash autotune all the time but they forget it is as common in the industry world as pro tools or microphones! and ur welcome : )
