This is not even close to a GTX295.

Watch at my video about Warhead's final boss. It goes smooth on a GTX260 recording with fraps. And in the final level there's twice more renders.

on this level i get about 50 fps average on my 4870x2. because its an indoor level it has a lot less to render. this is not a 295 no way. outdoor levels i get between 20 - 40 fps. i only have a q8200 aswell so its not to bad i guess.

record a video on FRAPS, on resolution 1920x1080 then we looks how much you have fps...;|

i dont see a need to proove myself. huge effort. just saying my setup performs noticeably better than this demo. even with fraps interfering.

go to NCIX and get them to build your own for you with parts that you order from the store.

You can build a computer with an Intel i7 920 and GTX260 with 4-6gb of ram with that budget.

more than 4x AA you will shut down 15+fps and dont see any diference in graphics :|

just uprgraded to a 3850 agp and my monitor wont go on with the card and it wont go on also my monitor has never work with the motherboard monitor socket the only way i can use my monitor is when using my old fx 5200 graphics card if you can call it that.

i have a p4 3ghz 1gb and a 40gb HD fx5200 512mb. I want to upgrade but dont want to spend more then 150 its either i get a new mobo and cpu ram and cheap gfx card or I keep my mobo and get a new psu and a HD 512mb 3850 AGPx8 and another gig or ram

Yes, u have to reinstall Windows, if you dont want to crash ur mobo

But getting a new Mobo isnt gonna help your performance, u will have to see if u can connect everything, like if u want to buy a new AMD Dual core processor, u need a mobo with an AM2 socket.

i have a socket 478 so im limited to my old p4 3 ghz with agp so i wanted to upragde to socket 775 and pcie and get a dual core and 9600gt xxx but im not going to bother if i have to reistall windows becuase i dont have a xp disk. might aswell get a 3850 agp and a new psu n a extra gig.

why not just buy a OEM copy? if your going for a low end build vista will be wasted on you anyway. (not vista bashing - i love it) i picked up a copy of xp home for 30 quid! + 478 is dead. infact it was mostly used for server boards if i remember correctly. 775 is on its way out too

Cpu affects Crysis performance much less than you would think. A large majority of the burden is on the graphics card.

thats obvious. but you still need a faster cpu to take advantage of a fast graphics card. or you will experience a bottleneck. Crysis is very gpu hungry. but the faster you can feed the gpu the better
