  • what r some good jazz sticks?

  • @msode21 5 as

  • @msode21 i recommend peter Erskine ride sticks, they are the best sticks for jazz in my opinion definitely worth looking at. They have the perfect sound on rides.

  • dude ur awsome how do u tune ur drums? they sound beautiful man!

and wat sticks do u use? u seem like u get alot of bounce out of em and i use promark is that ba for jazz?

  • I care about your hair cut

  • i can't get those buzzrolls so nice! i find it hard to get back on the ride perfectly on the beat

  • u need a haircut? shit man my hairs like 4 inches long all around... i need a fuckin haircut

  • You need to go into more detail on how to construct the four bar solo.

A lot of teachers say, "Just play the melody", or, "just play what sounds right" but it's not that simple. Before the kind of soloing you demonstrate at the beginning (very smooth, by the way), comes an understand of how such a solo works. You can't just learn to build a house by looking at houses for a really long time. Well, I can't. At least post the solo in slow motion!

  • What model of cymbals? I see the hihats are HHX and the crash is a sabian vault.... what exact size and models?

    Thanks and sounds good!

  • look for the tim metz gear video.

  • that sounded really good for a diy recording

  • Thanks man...I'm talking from Brasil.

    This video is so good.

  • thanks m8

  • Dude, your cymbals are awesome.

  • Very Good Lesson

  • Dude love the snare! Could you please disclose how it's tuned (along with head selection, snares type and construction etc.)

    Video is really helpful too

  • Were you using doubles at all in that opening solo?

  • yes he was doing doubles. at 0:25, and 0:28. also at 0:38 he's doing doubles on his left hand

  • I think I know what your talking about, the clean rolls hes doing are actually Six Stroke Rolls.

A six inside a four time, can make a neat feel.

  • this set sound greatly!!!

  • Tim, is your kit a Gretsch 125 Year Anniversary model? Thanks!

  • awesome teaching, thanks man!

  • You are one grand instructor, "Tim!"

  • Thank's a lot Tim, I need this lesson to understand this drumjob. Bye friend
