@msode21 i recommend peter Erskine ride sticks, they are the best sticks for jazz in my opinion definitely worth looking at. They have the perfect sound on rides.
You need to go into more detail on how to construct the four bar solo.
A lot of teachers say, "Just play the melody", or, "just play what sounds right" but it's not that simple. Before the kind of soloing you demonstrate at the beginning (very smooth, by the way), comes an understand of how such a solo works. You can't just learn to build a house by looking at houses for a really long time. Well, I can't. At least post the solo in slow motion!

I think I know what your talking about, the clean rolls hes doing are actually Six Stroke Rolls.
A six inside a four time, can make a neat feel.
