my flirt is super painful on my feet. it wouldn't have killed the design to raise the foot bumps a bit more. not everyone is short and broad. i am barely able to fold into the boat, but an on the lower end of the weight scale. it is a fun boat. cartwheels really well.

@irishlostboy for the foot rests you could do what i've done on my kayaks, and put in foam blocks or pads. its something i learnt from my dad, it works very well. it just takes a bit of work to get the shaping right.
