The only person who's saying Chuck's retired is Dana White. He's still got one fight left on his contract and he'll likely take it. If he could mix up his style and maybe move down a weight class, he'd probably see more success in the twilight of his career. Look at Coleman, Henderson and of course, Couture; older guys with careers in the UFC. Why should Chuck be any different?

I know what you mean, he was a good fighter for what he did, but I guess as the game starts to get better and better, newer and better fighters start to emerge, even though Shogun wasn't much better, he just had the right timing with his punch, when chuck lowered that hand of his like he likes to do so often. Nothing against Shogun; he fought the good fight and won. Now that Chuck is clearly passed his peak, so many people say he sucks. But let's face it, reigning for a time the Octagon wasn't a fluke.

I saw that too, and shook my head. I train in boxing once or twice a week and would never do that, despite having distance and helght on my side. Someone who can dart like Machida can pull such tricks, and with footwork Chuck did in the past. But not now. Supposedly they were working on it in his camp and he resorted to that, which I considered a bad habit.
