Well, when I think about it, the stuff that I think are "as good" are ones that exist on the same plane as UY, but are vastly different in style and substance. "Future Boy Conan," for instance, is a classic story with exceptional characters, and I think it is definitely upper-echelon. Another Takahashi title "Maison Ikkoku" belongs in this category (IMO) although it is vastly different from UY. "The Irresponsible Captain Tylor" finds the mark too.
But when I think about it, I haven't SEEN every anime in existence, so my declaration that "NONE are better" is actually rather assumptive, and based upon my enthusiasm for Urusei Yatsura. It's just that, I cannot really think of any other series out there with SO MANY diverse and likable characters, using as many interesting and funny circumstances. When you count the whole sum of it, it's utterly brilliant.

Actually, I enjoyed the fifth movie ("Final Chapter"). The fourth and sixth ones certainly did nothing for the UY franchise.

Agreed. Takashashi makes women who are fantastic. Every girl in Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma 1/2, and even Inuyasha are damn amazing girls.
