hey man, as long as the thing isn't rotted out too bad, no reason it should resort to this kind of life. But some day man... It'll happen :) Then its time to really have some awesome off road fun with the beast.
For sure man! It carried people to work reliably for years and years and years, and then after all that, it can still go out and have alo of fun out in the woods :) Awesome machine :) Trying doing some of this stuff with a 4x4 truck, and it would flip over :)
:) very true about its capabilities. I hope to get some more, any condition as long as they run. Really want to get a manual one though, the auto was stealing power bad. :) seriously though, don't bring toyota into this, :) they can hold up at least this well :) We've tested them much harder, and are amazingly well made, and capable. this thing is wider then a toyota car (in general) though, so that helps with going on crazy angles.
At least 1000, But it cost a few hundered to get that installed, so that plus the easy access trunk package, (which they only made about 200 of) Believe me man, i didn't park this thing within sight of the road, some one would definitely jack this rig :)
haha, yeah, shes a prize winner. i take it to alot of car shows and people are jealous. the hood latch was an option that year, and i want to keep it original. :)
its an 87 or an 88, i don't remember the engine off hand, i'll try to remember to check that out some day soon. im pretty sure its really worn out though.
haha, thats awesome! hard to imaging this thing being able to hit 100MPH, but then again its badly in need of a tune up to say the least! exhaust would help. has no power breathing its own exhaust.
Deffinatly like this car alot! hope fully i'll get some more videos of it up soon!
ya definitely ! she would be goin 115mph no problem, it was the 1.8l GL wagon called superstation. I think twin carbed but not sure. ive seen Subies with a small air filter and mine had a big one with 2 bolts. but dont remember if it was twin or not : never opened it, it was so reliable ! went to sardinia, drove in the dust and all, it never broke down. had to throw it away at 100kmiles she was cut in 2 cause of the rust (we got hard winters out here, and those cars rust like hell)... :(
I know what you mean man, we actually go this thing mostly because of the rotting out. it was my friend kyle's mom's car. and yeah, even a break line blew out from rust, thats why this pigs got no brakes in any of the vids. which would be alot better if it was stick! this has the wide air fillter, with i think 3 nuts, but with a 2bbl carb, was yours stick? and did you have 4wd also? it is a shame that you only got 100K on it, seems like they would go alot more, except rust.
yapp mine was stick with 4wd. i shall post some pics if i find them. yeah you can put 200K on them, with no problems, those cars are great. I'll see if i can find the pictures, then i'll scan them and make a slideshow, stay tuned :)
4wd :) thats why it can romp so much stuff up, back up the hill like that, and all, you can romp alot of stuff up with a 2wd car, don't get me wrong, but the 4wd thing makes a crazy difference!
this thing litterally sufficates it self if the hoods on, it breathes in its own exhaust, and runs horrible, no power, and stalls. so hoodless it is!
yeah, it is an awesome sound... nah, this beast has been around for a while now. this video is actually from last year around this time. i think the subaru is in some of the new romping videos's i've uploaded. the non tractor ones. its been here atleast 2 years i guess... i'm not good with keeping track of the years. but yeah, i finally got a new radiator for it! so the beast has a cooling system again! not that it really cared about that kind of thing anyway.
i didn't know what was going to happen really. but i figured i'd be safe because i was inside the car. and atleast the camera was filming! when i first went in, i really thought it was tipping. that was it! i was done, but then it tipped back, and i figured i could make it... but yeah, i was a little scared.
Ahhh yes....LOL... Mine is setup for street but maybe one day it will be a rally car.

All in all you can't complain about its capabilities, after all it really can do those things it might just not be pretty when your done.
Let's see a Honda or Toyota do that without falling apart.

At 1:45 you loose the hubcap from the X-Treme Off Roading. I hope you picked that up, those are gold man someone will pay big bucks for that.
JUDGExNOCTURNAL 1 year ago
Man that custom front bumper must have made it worth at least another $1000.00 and then the easy access trunk, I think that was an option right?

if its an 88 the engine is an ea82, 1.8 liter. And if your going 100-115 you are going downhill and redlining.
WaBud420 2 years ago
what model, year, engine is this?
Pretty clean ride. May need a trunk latch but she looks hot. Lol.
