THEN...if the numbers still had Coleman on top, motions could have been made to look at ALL disputed ballots...not just 900+ ballots cherry-picked from certain areas.
The way this was done forced the Coleman campaign's hand when Franken should have been the one contesting....making Norm look like the hypocrite.

When one party has unchecked power (filibuster-proof senate, etc.), they can advance their agenda w/o opposition. If we grant that some of their intentions are good, we are unable to halt those which are not good. While I realize that more will actually get done with one party in control, I'm reminded that a lot of things get done in dictatorships, but not all of them are right.

I'm not attempting to be rude, but why do posters here think that one party completely running the nation is good? When one party has unchecked power (filibuster-proof senate, etc.), they can advance their agenda w/o opposition. If we grant that some of their intentions are good, we are unable to halt those which are not good. While I realize that more will actually get done with one party in control, I'm reminded that a lot of things get done in dictatorships, but not all of them are right.

Right in the 2004 recount, four of the roughly 1600 votes in question were found to be in support of her opponent, Rossi, These four votes were provided by felons, and the rest of the 1600 were not able to be analyzed. Seems like the Republicans in both cases need to keep counting and counting as they both lost.

Dmark. Let me explain the true nature of a carpetbagger. Yes he did live here until after high school. He then moved away for most of his adult life. Key words; ADULT LIFE. He then moved back for one reason and one reason only. To run for a senate seat. That is a carpetbagger. We may not get to find this out but the true test will be whether or not he stays in Minnesota if the courts don't go his way on the contested election.
