In my opinion this is a grod version of Mary's boychild, BUT in the history of music people have made some songs that other people should not be able to cover, and this song (original version was ofcourse made by the captain of the bananaboat, the Incredible king of the calypso) Is one of those.

Don't even think of touching this song again Mister Cliff Richard.

It is a Belafonte song and Harry Belafonte is a much better singer than you will ever be. Anyway, merry christmas.

Who's the girl (part of the orchestra?) supposedly behind Helmut in various points of the vid (where you get a close up of Helmut) - eg 1:33 in? I cant work out how she is visible there, as it doesnt seem to match what is visible in that same area when a wider camera shot is shown. Is it an optical illusion?

This song is on Cliff's cd. I suppose they had an accord -> Cliff sang "Dany boy" for Helmut's DVD only and Helmut sang "Mary's boy child" for Cliff's cd only...
