Some of the things you people are saying is absolutely sickening. I work with Karen refugees and they are absolutely amazing. There's one family with four kids who are my absolute life, I would DIE for them. If you heard what some of these people have been through, it is far worse than any 15 minute video can tell you. Burma (Myanmar) was a crown British Colony. It did well for nearly 200 years and Rangoon was a thriving city. They decided to be a republic and declare complete independence from the UK. You get what you deserve. I would only help them if they decided to be a Dominion again

It's not really about ethnic problem. The military is equally abusive to everyone in Burma. The rural areas get hit harder than the cities. Every race/ ethnics in Burma are abused by this military regime. The regime wants to keep the war/conflict between the races or even religions to keep the country unstable, so they will have a reason not to give up the power. If every races/ ethnics unite, this junta will go down in no time.

I think I agree with you because many people in the country try to get out and get the refugees status even their place is peace and quite especially Chin people. Chin hill is the most peaceful place in Burma where military and civilian can live in peace.Real Karen refugess who run from their village do not even want to resettle in the third country. Many Chins are now in Malaysia awaiting. They live very poor in Chin hill, so they are looking for opportunity.
