  • Awesome. Hate to see this happen, though.

Always make sure the fuel line clips and the rubbers in them are in place so that nothing vibrates and breaks or comes loose. (not saying that is what happened here)

I bet the cleanup was expensive and costly because that was a lot of smoke. :(

    Thanks for sharing it, though!

  • Outstanding! God prevented this ship from burning further if what you say is correct about the wire feed to the fuel pump. When you say the suppression system did not activate, well that tells me a lot.

    The music is superb.

This is one of the finest YouTube videos I have seen.

    Thank you.

  • im wondering why the fire suppression systems took so long to kick in.

  • @Marshall7302 it never did "kick in", the fixed CO2 system never was fully activated. Ironically the fire burned the wiring control for the motorized fuel supply valve and it burned itself out. This is what I heard at least.

  • what boat was this on and where... Was the engine just worked on before this...

  • @dhibbs75 It's a west coast Canadian 470 Car RoRo Ferry; events still under investigation. It wasn't just worked on.
