  • That is one HUGE dam...yikes!

  • Yep, the power of the raindrop!

  • Imagine Swimming down there and suddenly watter comes down at you.

  • must be a god dam

  • Ladis and gentlemen Chuck Norris has flushed the toilet

  • @toribasher123 toilet of his jizz

  • wow! such a very clean energy.

  • Thats not normal and happens very rarely there, i fly fish there quite often. Or were you asking directions?

  • hod do u fish there?

  • @insk8terz10 you dont.

  • @insk8terz10 Well you're really not supposed to fish when the actual gates are open, but you can under normal circumstances at the bottom of the dam.

  • jump in!

  • man when we took a trip down there the gates where open and the bridge had water on it and i saw where it was even higer than where it was it was crazy

  • wow

  • nice

  • the last time they opened the gates this year, they raised the gates 9 1/2 feet. It damaged the one lane wood bridge in Beaver. 3 times this year they opened the gates. Alot of water

  • WOW, great video...........9 gates have not been opened before at Beaver Lake Dam.

  • wow....cool! I haven't ever seen that! Thank you for sharing!

Of course, I haven't been to Beaver Lake in years...

  • As I understand it, the 4 times were 1974, 2001, 2004, and 2008.

  • Don't forget May of 1990, specifically May 4th. Almost as much as this spring was released: approx. 51000 cfs; only about 7000 cubic feet per second less, or gates opened to only 7 feet, instead of 9 1/2, this year. Although the lake only rose to 1129.16 back then.

  • @seanwfranklin

more frequent then. and its only going to get more and more frequent. just like the river thames flood barriers in london

  • @seanwfranklin good camera work mate, thanks for this !

  • Might want to check your history on that. I can recall three times in the last ten years and Beaver has been filled for almost 40 years.
