few years ago, i stayed in that impressive castle in Romania. With it's very rich, but dark history, it was pretty spooky to stay and sleep there. But it was great, ofcourse!

This "documentary" is full of false information. First of all, Vlad Tepes never lived in Bran castle, ever. The name "Dracul", which means "the devil" was first used by the people for Vlad´s Father who had even crueler punishment methods for deliquents and enemies. Tepes built very modest castles when compared to his contemporaries. No gold chandeliers. No frescos. No marble statue covered fountains. This is also why he was well loved by his countrymen. Henry VIII was on the throne at the end of the 15 century and he was not merciful in putting down any threats to his throne. Look more closely at what other rulers were doing at the time. He won a great deal of battles against unseasoned Roman generals, but ultimately in the end, Rome was untouched by Hannibal's army, and Carthage was burned to the ground. This "documentary" is full of false information. First of all, Vlad Tepes never lived in Bran castle, ever. The name "Dracul", which means "the devil" was first used by the people for Vlad´s Father who had even crueler punishment methods for deliquents and enemies. Tepes built very modest castles when compared to his contemporaries. No gold chandeliers. No frescos. No marble statue covered fountains. This is also why he was well loved by his countrymen. I personally found castles/palaces that are claimed to be his, much more appealing than the more typical ones like the Vatican, Versailles or Buckingham.
