  • Does anybody use this in their EDC? I have on and I'm trying to incorporate it, but it's just too bulky.

  • Comment removed

  • Nothing beats the leather man charge tti

  • How do you comparethis to the Laherman MUT...

  • Wich one it is exactly ? I really want to buy it but i cant find it on the sog website there is like 10 Sog EOD !

  • nice review.. But i think that sog should make the coating much more high quality... i have the powerlock for lust a week and has already lost a lot.. its grey now and not black.

  • i bet aron ralston would have given his right arm for one of those. oh wait

  • @Christophony12 thing called MSRP manufacturer suggestred retail price, you never ever buy from the manufactuerer... its always a higher price

  • are you guys going to SHOT show this year? if so can you go to the sog booth? I'd go but being in australia is kinda stopping me :p

  • @mowie1236

Sorry, we missed SOG this time around, but we will see them again at the NRA show in a few months

  • those cost alot less on amazon.com

  • Is the tool made in USA? (Just curious not criticizing)

  • You gear-do's love worthless crap. Really? A C4 punch? Come on now.

  • @hoovco

Don't watch vids if you don't like their topic..

  • @hoovco lol, this perticuler model is geared more towards military based needs, but i get what your saying,i wouldnt say its"worthless crap" but hey,to each his own.

  • @hoovco Well on a tool supposed to be bought by people working in EOD or similar, what would you suggest? A spatula?

  • @hoovco im sure you can use it for much more than C4 its a great well made knife and it had a great review

  • @hoovco Thats because the multi tool is deisnged with bomb disposal in mind...

  • @hoovco you have a boring life

  • @hoovco As an EOD a c4 punch isnt useless.

  • @hoovco you can use it for a marlin spike window breaker or scribing tool

  • @hoovco I use my C4 punch all the time.. However I am an EOD tech and use C4 like a carpenter uses 2x4s and nails so...

  • is this the same guy from gunwebsite?

  • @QCutube

    yup

  • these things are customizable, thats what i like about them, you can have whatever tools you want on there, i cant wait to get one, trying to decide between powerlock or powerassist

  • Should have bought that instead of my Wave :(

  • As a person who has worked in EOD and been an instructor since 1981, I really like the design of this tool. I have used Leatherman, Gerber and Winchester multi-tools. Of the three the Winchester was made very poorly and I have it to someone else to throw in their glove compartment. The Winchester came with a socket set, but again nothing was well made. I am anxious to try this tool at an explosives range. Should really simplify the amount of equipment and eliminate my tool belt.

  • @jlnormanpi

Thanks for the feedback from someone who uses these kind of tools

  • Maybe it's just me, but why buy a product specifically designed for EOD, if you don't do EOD... I understand you can swap tools around, but even so, you still have the crimper and CSPE stripper which is no use. Also, why the need for a quick release sheath? I personally have the leather sheath that comes with it and keep it on my stable belt, but if I want to say destroy a birdge or do explosive entry, having my tool avalible in a second isn't going to make any difference. Just my 2p

  • Got mine for 50$

    Sale at botch tac

  • Multi tool wise I think SOG blows Leatherman away.

  • Which SOG multi tool would be the best for in case of survival / disaster / emergency ? Which model and why?

  • @urkingod SOG's powerlock/power assist's best feature is the compound leverage pliers. Your survival has much less to do with which multi tool you pick, but more of your knowledge and experiences you have in dealing with crisis. I would suggest taking first aide course, and classes that peaks your interest. Hint: anything is a tool if you know how to use it.

  • I thought that the power assist had a v-cutter

  • @ dontmesswithnature

I think the other models do, this one is EOD, so it has a few specialty tools

  • @GearBuyersGuide The Powerassist EOD comes in 2 versions: one has the v-cutter and the other does not.

  • @spudnutsncoffee My mistake....The only the PowerLOCK eod comes with the optional v-cutter. Sorry for the misinformation.

  • @dontmesswithnature No actually this one is the B67 mode I believe, but the B66 has the v-cutter and some other stuff. Usually B66 is better than the B67 for regular EDC tasks.

  • Appreciate the vid! Just got a deal on this tool and wasn't sure how I'd like the C4 spike... but I saw on their website that you can replace it with some pretty cool components if you want. I'm pumped! Thanks again!

  • I like how you can swap out to the tools you want too

  • glass breaker?

  • This tool has a perfect balance of the things I use the most. Strong needle nosed pliers with wire cutters, easily accessible knives and just the right amount of the most useful tools.

  • We agree, a very nice tool

  • nice and fast

  • Nice vid. I have a Leatherman Wave and I'm liking the looks and the gears for the torque of this one. I am considering this one, which one do you prefer?

  • we have both we'll do a side by side..

this is too new to say, but I like this one a lot..

I really liked my Leatherman though, so I'm looking forward to seeing which is better too

  • Finally a company that doesnt cater to minorities that don't speak the language of the country that they live in. Bravo....nice review btw

  • @ConditionRedDawn This country is the most diverse country in the world! Therefore has a mixture of various, numerous languages. Also SOG doesn't cater to just one country. Your an idiot along with the others that gave you a thumbs up.

  • Great job as always. Thanks.

  • thank you this one eas obviously a fun one, this is a very cool multi-tool
