  • Fantastic demo!

  • That might be good for dub

  • you need to hook up with Deadmau5

  • GABBER HEAD!!

  • that was coooool

  • FANTASTIC !!!

  • cool stuff

    needs more cowbell though

  • lol

  • Super cool, nice crazy sounds......

  • Very cool video! Love your modular synth-robot!!

  • wow, great

  • dude you have a weird haircut

  • great class

  • are you using a basic system by doepfer? or is it a custom one?

  • It's a custom system. The only modules you can't find in a basic system are the A188 BBD delay, the A106 extreme filter and the A199 spring reverb.

This MIDI/CV interface however, is different (much more complexe) from the one used in some basic systems. And unfortunately, it is discontinued... but there are other midi/cv interfaces you can use to do the same and Doepfer will soon release another one to replace the MCV24.

  • funny, creative, artistic, "technologic", complex and nice, but i think it's just to have fun, not actually to create music.

specially coz it sounds like crap.

    anyways nice music.

hope some nintendo developers make this on a game. it 'd be really cool

maybe a dj'ing software would be really cool too

  • Hehe,

It can sound like whatever you want it to sound like as the modular synth possibilities are endless. This is a demo so I tried to use the gamepad as much as possible but in more musical applications, I don't use it that way. I believe in many cases (EG driving filters or triggering envelopes) it is much more musical and intuitive than the standard electronic instruments controlers that are potentiometers, joysticks or keyboards.

Wiimote is great for DJing and VJing !

    Txs for your comment

  • oh. my. god. c'est magnifique.

  • Wow, this kicks absolute ass. You should try this with unpitched, percussive sounds. It would sound great.

  • there really is a market for this kind of thing. If someone would program a modular synth for wii kinda like korg ds10 the homebrew scene would blow up with music software...

  • Wow!

These machines produce great sounds, it it looks so fun!

    Great work!

  • Totally sweet! I should really get off my ass and build that modular synth I've been talking about forever. Excellent job!

  • Nice demo. I could recognise every word you said, by the way.

  • lol now i know where techno comes form lol :P

  • lol kinda, techno involves a little bit more, you need piano experience, a computer with the right software, and a midi board :p

  • I seem to recall someone getting by without those computer things (everyone not too long ago) and someone notable getting by without being able to play the piano (Aphex Twin)

  • This is great, I got to play with this doepfer at my school recently and it's neat to see someone sending it more than plain midi notes.

  • That's awesome! Reminds me of Atari Teenage Riot.

  • Oh thank you so much ! I love that band !

  • Wow! Pumping out deliciously killer sounds!

  • woooow !

    nice idea/video

  • This is awesome!! Love the moog shirt too.

  • 2:48 sounds as Atari 2600 ... very funny

3:55 sounds like an old ghost movie... LOL

4:58 sounds like Doom hahaha, great video :P

  • nice man! want that shit!

  • That delay part blew my head off for a while.

  • na man your english sounds fine, but i must ask is that a french accent?

  • chill, chill

  • Someone is touchy...

  • Yes it is =)

  • Nice demo. I have a big doepfer adn a MCV24, tomorrow I am going to buy one or two of those Wiipads!!!

  • well done, guys! special greetings to isidor! :D

  • information has no plural....

  • Txs for the hint !

  • That kicks ass in so many ways! Thanks for sharing that.

  • Pretty cool! I'm also using Wiimote for making music but I don't control hardware stuff.

    I love A-100.

  • Nice one, shame I've no MIDI to CV hardware... ah well, I'll find another way.

  • The sooner you go out doing live gigs the better!! Wuuut! Come to Barcelona!!!

  • Hehe. Wiimote is a really good controller for live performances. We will be experimenting soon with 2 wiimotes and 2 synths. A live show based on this line up could be really lots of fun, like those guys with nanoloop on gameboy =) It will require lot of programming and preparation though.

  • Well... that depends on what you're aiming at (preparation wise..) I think a whole bunch of jaws would be dropped just from making noises like that. .....but don't prepare for too long!!

  • This video is amazing. Good vid + sound quality!

  • cool stuff. hope to see a musical demo soon.

  • cool:)

  • Very, very amazing work!

    Cheers,

    Paulo
