I took a short look at the facebook API source, it seems like it is some sort of OAuth, not entirely sure about the "cookie" part, but that's probably if you would like to use $_SESSION (this requires cookie enabled) to save data so you wouldn't have to set them on every page reload.

I have been trying to do this for business profiles as well. From what I have researched, you can only do this for personal and not business profiles. Am I right or wrong?
