@Zaranyzerak Whoa really? I think you're definitely in a minority with that opinion.

The Last Stand works as a movie and is quite enjoyable if you don't watch it through comic book nerd eyes. X-Men Origins: Wolverine was just a mess that was hated by pretty much everybody. It was scene after scene of stupidity and plot holes.

@Mankind081 I think you need to see my full length rant about all the things that were wrong with X3. It didn't work as a movie, it didn't work as a sequel to what had been established by the previous two movies, and of course it didn't work through "comic book nerd eyes. That has little to do with it. If one were to keep a running tally, there were far fewer things that were objectionable about Wolverine by comparison. Anyway, watch the full rant. Hey just to clarify. The producers hired Bret earner. Matthew Vaughn was the original choice, but backed out because they were trying to rush him.

Personally aside from days of future past I would've been also ecstatic over an adaptation of night of the sentinels or magneto's avalon war moreso than a 1-movie phoenix saga.

@dukinhower Yes, but Blade was nowhere near the megahit that Spider-Man was. Blade may have got the ball rolling, but Spider-Man ran with it and proved conclusively that there was money to be made from comic book-based movies. The rest is history.

@Zaranyzerak I agree I'm just sayin Blade made everyone look at the idea again and the fact that Blade was 'low' on the comic character radar and R rated helped get first the X-Men then SpiderMan films made.

And I agree with your rant too. If you havent already, you gotta talk about the new movie called X-Men: First Class that has nothing to do with the First Class of X-Men at all!

I like what you have to say and agree with you on most points. I think both of Burton's Batman movies need to be included in the "crapfest" though. My main point is that I almost puked all over your shoes with you walking around like that....really hard to watch with you moving all over the place.

From what I heard WB didn't want Burton to direct the third Batman film, since they felt Batman Returns was too violent and wanted a more family friendly film. They decided to hire Joel Schumacher, with Burton producing the film.

@bluto1992 Yep, saw it in the theater. I didn't hate it like some people do (I actually don't get why so many people despise it so much, I thought it was a decent enough conclusion t the trilogy), but it was definitely a bit cluttered. Nowhere NEAR as bad as X3, though.

I got excited to see it, Dad said I had to wait, I got pissed, my friend's brother got us tickets, Dad broke down took my friend, cousin, and I to see it, got there at 7:30, 12 seats left, started at 8, left side of room, second row, texters in seats in front of us, movie starts, I'm mesmirized, halfway through, cousin's phone rings, I get pissed, movie ends, I go, BEST MOVIE EVER. Went home satisified

I was very disappointed with Superman Returns, too many problems (not as many as X3, but still enough to annoy me). Maybe I'll do a video about it at some point. Ang Lee's Hulk had some good moments, I think it gets shat on far more than it deserves. But again, certain elements of it were just unnecessary and annoying. I actually liked Eric Bana as Bruce Banner.

I'm married, with a kid. So that makes you wrong in just about everything you said... More action doesn't = better. The action was poorly done, and there was nothing at stake to make you CARE about the outcome. The drama was forced and poorly directed. Again, you don't CARE what happens in the so-called "dramatic" moments, so they carry no emotional weight or resonance with the viewer. Thanks for playing.

There's a videogame called X-Men the Official Game and , to tell the truth, that game would've made a much better live action movie than Last Stand!

Originally, instead of the Cure Saga the film would've introduced Emma Frost, the White Queen, and Emma Frost using her powers to bring Jean under her control. Like the 2nd version, in the orignal Magneto would've tried to get her on his side. Neither Cyclops nor Charles were going to die and Charles would convince Cyclops to kill her. Than Ema Frost would use her powers agian to turn Jean's ghost into a monster, the Phoenix.

Yeah I disliked X-Men 3 too. Shame cos the first two were great. I was just a messy action film were they tried to cram too much stuff in too short a period of time.

Don't get me started on Cyclops getting killed off screen and Juggernaught being beat by bumping into a wall (lol.) Angel's role was also pointless.

I actually have that on tape from the original airing! I really liked it, actually. I got the impression it was a pilot, but it never got picked up as a series. Too bad, I thought they did a good job.

Don't forget that Tim Burton almost didn't do "Returns" either.

I'm so glad they went through with it, because I personally think that's the best of the first four or two.

That's based on reviewing them again a couple of months ago, so that's my current opinion. :)

really?you should, because my opinion in it was

first ..goes without saying, needs no explanation

second lost all the magic and turned " big summer movie-ish, bringing t-rex to LA on boat" no "awe" factor

third while not coherent with the first two in terms of pacing and direction (but not in a bad way ala X-men)had character development! and made "how do you get grant to go back ot the island?"believeable and sucked me in. it also ended very abruptly:.running from dino's and scene. role credits

also if you own the trilogy set with the "beyond jurassic park" disk check that out as well seeing the real round table footage discussion of spielberg choosing CG over claymation pretty last minute, among other things is awesome

It's funny, but it's not surprise anymore, how most people didn't like "3" as much, but I really enjoyed it at the cinema.

It was done just really good, it really impressed me with the plot and variety of events.

Loved the first and second for different reasons too, but they all have that "dense dangerous jungle"-feel.

The only thing for "3" is the lame "III"-title.

I came up with a different sub-title, but don't know if I should tell you for spoilers.

Orignally, Beast and Blob were going to be in X-Men 1, and orignally the Sentinels, Archangel and Gambit were going to be in X2, and Sabertooth and Toad were original going to return in X2.
