how did you get Midna without the helm?

You mean in the beginning? It's a flashback late in the game right before you go into the Twilight Realm. Midna talks a little bit about why she came to the world of light.

oh ok, must have forgotten that.. I'm so used to skipping all the cutscenes now.
beat a part of the game and wowt no helmet and if you bea t the game she realyl turns into the twighlight princess
