  • goldeneye wii is okay its just there is no extra features and multiplayers crap, should've put an ability to play as the pierce bronson bond

  • i was depressed when i turned this on, its crappy, cods better i wasted my money :(

  • Am I the only one who finds it weird that you enjoy the Wii version of CoD4 over the other versions due to the pointer controls, yet you just use the Classic Controller when you review GoldenEye?

I'm guessing that you just did it because it's hard to use pointer controls when you are concentrating on reading from a script, looking through a camera lens, etc.

  • it's about comfort mainly bud and while pointer controls work, they kill my back.

It's why I'm upgrading to the 360 version when it's out because wireless wins over wires.

  • this game has really good online and decent campaign in my opinion

  • I actually have a PS3, and I'm considering buying this game. Should I?

  • Played Crysis 2?

Because if not, I'd personally say go for that. The online is broken due to the cloak being allowed but the campaign is one of the best I've played in an FPS in years.

  • @DEIVION212 Are you going to review Crysis 2?

  • Yup.

  • @DEIVION212 Well, I have to say, thank you for your awesome advice! I bought Crysis 2 about 3 months ago, and it's amazing! I agree, the multiplayer is garbage, but the campaign is the best I've played in any FPS (although I've never played Perfect Dark, Half-Life, or Time Splitters).

I'm still excited for GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, though. I was unsure about getting GE back when it was Wii-exclusive (due to the fact that I rarely EVER play Wii anymore), but on PS3, w/ PSN, voice chat, HD, etc....

  • Glad you enjoyed it :)

  • @catholicgamer99 Buying and playing all of the Timesplitters games will be the best decision you'll ever make in your life.

  • I dissagree, I say buy 2 and 3 but leave 1 alone. And even then, don't pay much for 3 IMO it was far weaker than 2.

But 2, is one of my all time favourite games.

  • @DEIVION212 But number 3 had a far superior mapmaker and you can use the glitches to improve the way maps look like the sky glitch. But yeah it did fall short with returning maps and music for the game.

Timesplitters 1 wasn't that bad. It's story mode wasn't much to brag about but the multiplayer was what made it good.

  • I agree the mapmaker was better, but that's it. Challenges were worse, story was worse, weapon set, gameplay as a whole, character design. Wasn't keen on it at all.

  • @DEIVION212 What do you mean that's it? There were more selection of characters, more interesting weapons like the injector and flare guns and the game has an announcer for the multiplayer.

I love the Story mode of the game. It's actually really fun to go through and replay the levels again. That's saying alot considering what we have on the market right now which have crap single player modes. Then again that's entirely dependant on how fond you are with the game.

  • I hated the announcer, he wasn't needed. The weapons list was a weaker more unbalanced selection and as I say I wasn't keen on the character design at all. Everyone I loved from TS2 seemed to be removed from TS3.

Yeah I agree, I don't know why EVERY FPS now is one long mission rather than a selection of levels. Not every one needs it and not every one is good, some would be better without that.

  • It's quite ironic.

The Wii is notorious for lack of 3rd-party games (ESPECIALLY FPS's), yet it managed to get an FPS that, according to you, is one of the best to come out in a while. xD

  • Nice review !!! Man but kinda bad quality :)

  • Thanks :)

Good quality means 48 hour upload time (I could do 1080p) so I stick with short upload times.

  • There's a lot of Halo bashing here. :)

I played Halo 2 for the first time last month (I know, I'm very late) for Windows, and now GoldenEye seems a little boring. Despite being 6 years older, Halo 2 feels like the better and more polished game.

  • I heard that there actually is a Classic mode in this game, which gives you a health bar similar to the original.

  • Aye, I have since found it. But it doesn't get rid of checkpoints and stuff, so it's kinda pointless. It's like diet classic, lol.

  • @DEIVION212 I loved it, in your Perfect Dark XBLA review, when you said,

"...it's very different from the shooters of today. You don't respawn a minute earlier, having barely lost any progress whatsoever. You go back to the ******* start of the level, the way it should be!"

They should've done that with the Classic mode in this game, I agree.

  • Yup, new games just aren't as hard as old ones. It's why I mainly buy classics.

  • @DEIVION212 I think it's because gaming has become a lot more popular, so devs try to make games accessible to newer players.

Ninty is probably the worst offender.

Both Nintendo and Rare have REALLY gone downhill in the past decade.

Heck, Rare was the company who created Kinect Sports.

The best thing I can think of that Rare did recently was make a great port of Perfect Dark. That's the only good thing that I can say, that they've done a great port.

  • Not RARE's fault though, Ninty sold RARE, half of RARE said "We aren't working for fucking MS" so left to form other devs, like Free Radical.

Ninty and MS effectively killed the best British dev ever. And now MS and Activision have now killed Bizarre Creations, another great Brit dev.

MS made a fortune off of Bizarre with Gotham and Geo Wars and then shit all over them. Then when Activision grabbed them to do Blur, after Blur didn't sell as well as they'd hoped they dispanded them.

  • But it's not just because of a wider audience, because while that's the case with Ninty, it's now became a case of "we want every game to be like a blockbuster movie" so now every game is chocked full of shit actors and actresses who charge a fortune (So less money goes into making the game), who then record hours of dialogue for hours of movie cutscenes (So the game is shorter) and because they class the story as more important, they make it easy so you can see all of the story.

  • Which is why I like the download scene, because PSN, XBL:A, Steam etc.. games are made the way games used to be.

  • @DEIVION212 Cough, Heavy Rain, Cough

  • L.A Noire as well. Both are just Dragon's Lair to me and I'd rather buy a Blu Ray boxset or an actual game over either.

  • @gamingrocks100 fair enough its your opinion but RARE didnt port perfect dark XBLA, Google to find who did but i know it was another company

  • @gamingrocks100 yeah there is

  • THE ONLY REASON WHY GOLDENEYE 007 FOR THE N64 IS THE BEST IS BECAUSE YOU DONT DIE AS FAST SO YOU GET TO ENJOY THE SHOOTING I HATE REALISTIC SHOOTERS WHERE YOU GET SHOT AND DIE REAL QUICKLY THATS WHY I HATED CALL OF DUTY MODERN WARFARE 2 AND ALL OF THEM NO MORE SHOOTERS FOR ME I HATE DYING QUICK ILL STICK WITH MY 007 FOR THE N64

  • @TheCopperhound84 "So you want the game to be easier?! Wow, and scarily these are the people Ninty listen to." -DEIVION212

  • is this game good people? i'm thinking of buying it cos im bored of cod and the like

  • My biggest complaint is the inability to take cover like in QOS, a feature sorely needed when you are swarmed by like twenty enemies from every direction. And don't give me any of that popping out/leaning garbage. They aren't the same thing.

  • So you want the game to be easier?!

Wow, and scarily these are the people Ninty listen too.

  • You mentioned Medal of Honor in this review. What do you think of it?

I recall, in another comment, you complained about using R1 to shoot. Was that a typo? Didn't you mean R2?

  • If I meant R2 it wouldn't be a problem bud.

EA force you to use R1 to fire, so after 5 minutes of being unable to fire as instinct kept kicking in saying "use R2" I said "fuck this" and sold it. So still not played it for real, I suppose would be the right way to put it. I have just bought it for the 360 though, so hopefully I'll enjoy it, because I'd hate to dislike a game I bought twice! XD

  • @DEIVION212 I'm confused. If Uncharted & CoD use R1 to shoot, then what's wrong with using it in MoH?

  • MOH didn't have custom controls.

That's the difference. If a game only uses R1 to fire, then I don't own it for the PS3. I've now taken to opening game cases in stores to read the manual before buying it, which is why I bought the Transformers game for the 360.

The only time R1 is an acceptable firing method on the PS3, is when the R2 is still the most important button and is used more than R1 at all times of the game.

  • The worst and most annoying thing is multi format games doing it. Official PS3 only games, while it's still unforgiveable unless it's not the most used etc... Then you can at least think "Maybe you just didn't know, maybe they truly are idiots" but multi format, why make triggers for one use it but not for the other?

    It's why I still haven't played Unreal 3, because I bought the PS3 version.

  • @DEIVION212 Ah ha, I get it. So you're saying that Uncharted 2 allows you to map firing to R2? It must be, because R2 is only used to reload on the default control scheme. I didn't know that that game had custom controls...

Anyway, I would love it if you made a review for War for Cybertron.

  • I can't remember is Uncharted does or not, but I don't have a problem with it because I don't play online, and when you don't play online, Uncharted isn't a shooter. It's a platformer.

So I spend more time using X and it doesn't bother me. But at the same time, as I don't blast the game for using R1, it might well have custom. I'll whack it on and see later :)

I'll pass the message on to Panda because we've been doing it co-op and then we just fell out of playing it. It's a good game though.

  • @DEIVION212 I just took a look at it. You CAN swap the functions of the shoulder buttons. You can set R1 to reloading, and R2 to shooting. And you can set L1 to throwing grenades/propane tanks/treasure, and L2 to aim.

And I heard that Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception will have 2-player splitscreen.

  • I thought you could.

    Sounds good then :)

  • the hardest skill setting has body armour and a single healthbar. much like the original.

i think it still has checkpoints though.

    good review btw.

  • Thanks :)

  • awesome review

  • Thanks :)

  • Thanks :)

  • @forrest148

Please tell me you're talking about goldeneye n64....this thing is shit.

Its call of duty with daniel craig...no gadgets, awful level design, dark and you can't skip the fucking cutscenes

  • The thing with the guard in the stall is taken pretty much verbatim from the movie. The guard looks over his newspaper, and sees Pierce Brosnin hanging there who says "Beg your pardon, forgot to knock," and then punches him in the face.

  • what is scopeing

  • As you're the one who's mentioned it, I'd love to know my self. I assume you mean "zoom" and if so, it's called an options menu and it will tell you far more than I possibly can.

  • @DEIVION212 well i dont know what it is i just saw some else asked you if you can scope and i wanted to know what that is but thanks i will look it up when i get to open it on christmas

  • Well my reply to him was asking if he meant zoom. Or looking down the iron sights.

  • Looks good

  • Tis good IMO :)

  • Flipcat, you're an idiot. This game did not ruin anything......

  • @Panch21

No it didn't ruin that game thank god....what it did is use the name to shamelessly boast sales.

This is modern warfare with graphics that equal the dreamcast...boring levels with nothing but shooting and running to the next gray objective box and a camera that does everything by pressing A....modern fps's seemed to be made for retards these days

  • Try Halo, then you'll really see what a genric FPS is.

However if you want a god amongst games, try Half Life.

  • I think they have really stylishly modernised this game. Golden eye was the break through fps back in the day but if you look back on that today the gameplay is laughable compared to contemporary fps. I love this game and people need to stop being so nostalgic and accept this game almost in its own right. Think it of a re-imagining rather than a re-release. Had there been no original golden eye this would be a great game in its own right.

  • This game ruined the original Golden Eye,

  • I'd love to know how, seeing as both the movie and original game can still be bought online.

  • can you scope, or were u choosing not to?

  • Are you seriously asking me if you can aim down the iron sights?

    Yes. 10:19

  • whats rong with u. u get done saying that theres nothing really good about it then saying u love it.

U tell us your not ripping on it, then complain the rest fo the vid about how its not like its supposed to.

    U like it or dont?

U like the stuff in it or not?

^Same questions, but you answer differently....

  • @eZmovies4u He never ranted about the game, itself. He just hates that it's being advertised as being the N64 game, which it isn't.

He said that it was a great FPS (and explained why), BUT whether you'll actually like the game or not depends on what you're expecting from it. If you're expecting the N64 classic, you're going to be disappointed. If you're just looking for a truly great single-player FPS with decent multiplayer, this is definitely for you!

  • As Nerf has just explained to you, you're wrong. Try listening harder next time.

  • @DEIVION212 xD

  • @deivion212 tyvm

  • No probs :)

  • Just Curious.....is the game at least somewhat like the original? I mean the multiplayer levels at least SEEM similar to the original gameplay or is it VASTLY different?

  • The gameplay is similar in the fact that both are FPS' and require you to shoot guns and kill bad guys. That's about it.

  • deivion212? on the campaign i just wanna get something straight-you can have 3 guns and can you drop the pistol thingy?

  • I think it's 2 guns, but I usually just get an AK and stick with it rarely changing, lol. It's what I use for the online and it's rare I swap, so I forget how many you can hold at one time, but I think 2.

  • I really don't like how much you are ripping on this game. You keep saying how people are expecting the original n64 game so they buy this, and not liking it because its not n64. I laugh at this, I really do. If people wanted to play the EXACT N64 GOLDENEYE they would buy a n64 and play it on that. Times change, and so do peoples interests. I think they have a few creative liberties to maybe change the levels a little bit too. Also, there is a limited life mode with body armor: 007 classic.

  • I'm not ripping on it, not one bit, I love it and say so in the vid. Quite a lot actually.

All I said was it's being advertised as the classic N64 game and it's not, which will piss people off as old games rule. I'd take old games over new any day.

  • @DEIVION212 Sorry lol.

  • buy black ops it is way better then this game... i really did not enjoy this game

  • And I'm the other way around, I hate Black Ops. It's got awful AI, a poor campaign and dodgy online.

    The weapons are naff also.

But then again, that's a Treyarch FPS for ya, I don't think they've made one yet that I've liked.

They just ported COD4 well, that's the only piece of good info I can say about Treyarch, that they done a good port.

  • @DEIVION212 Yup, if the game wasn't titled, "Call of Duty", then it wouldn't have gotten many (if any) good reviews. And it wouldn't have sold so much.

And no, I am not a CoD hater, as I love CoD4 (easily the best in the series IMO). I just think it's gone downhill from there, although I KINDA like World at War (not a lot, though).

  • Yup, totally agree. Although I hated WAW XD

  • @DEIVION212 The reasons that I think that World at War is better than MW2 is that the co-op & story are so much better. MW2's campaign was enjoyable, but the story & multiplayer are utter garbage, and the spec-ops is pretty generic. But aside from MW2, Infinity Ward always makes the best games. Treyarch's games tend to be rehashes more often than IW's, and the always seem to have bad A.I.

  • I love this game and hate cod and halo

  • @chucknorris767 yet it plays very like cod

  • @DuKeY101101 thats why you play classic mode and there are very different things no retarded enemies famous characters for multyplayer..shall i go on

  • sorry for commenting twice in a row but should also mention i played metroid prime 3, feels like same controls, but its the same issue i hated with that XD

  • you mentioned that you liked the control support variety, but which did you use?

    im assumung gamecube remote?

i got the game today and the biggest put off was the turning round by pointing left or right... going to try different remote tomorrow but it made the zapper hard as hell to use too

  • Classic controller is what I used in the Vid, NGC pad's analogue is too small. I just don't think the Wii designed any of it's controllers for perfect FPS use. Because Wiimote means you can't sit in comfort and the pads have notches where the analogues are which stop swift movement.

  • It's kind of irritating that you don't score the game and chock it up to personal opinion. Your entire review is your personal opinion, so how is quantifying how you feel about the game by giving it a score any different? If you don't want to give us your opinion, why review the game? And if you have already given your opinion in the review, why not tell us what score you would give it? We are smart enough to figure out that it is your opinion.

  • Then are you smart enough to figure out what I'm going to say next?

If you don't like it, go elsewhere.

    Simples.

  • @DEIVION212 I actually enjoy your reviews, I just don't understand why you don't score the games. No need to be a prick about it.

  • Yup, out of our 2 posts, mine's the one that screams prick *rolls eyes*.

But as that wasn't a good enough answer for you...

I've not scored them since I started. I also didn't do any form of opinion, just facts.

But people wanted opinion. So I gave it, but I still also mention all of the same facts I always did. Options, number of levels etc... However, as none of my old vids have scores, none of my new vids will have scores.

    Ever.

  • And the reason why I don't use scores... Because scores mean jack shit.

I've seen so many pro's *laughs until he crys* use scores that don't match the review at all. Like where they gave out 7's or 8's after slagging the whole game off and never saying anything good about it.

But because it has that 8, a lot of people just look at that and think "must be good", when really, it's shit, just like the guy said in his review. So they suffer because they're dumb.

  • And quite frankly, those who only check scores probably deserve it. You have to reasearch games before you buy them, you can't just go in blind.

But at the same time, had that score not been there, then those dumb people would've been forced to do more than just look at there usual site.

  • @DEIVION212 I don't see how you can call me a prick for saying it doesn't make sense not to score it, but that's fine.

  • It wasn't what your point was, it was how you went about adressing it.

Now granted, as it's text, maybe something was lost in translation because speaking to a person gives them much more to work with that just typing to them, Because then it's upto the person reading it to get what the guy was trying to convey.

So I'll happily give you the benefit of the doubt, but the way I read it, it read as you trying to be a prick rather than asking an honest well meaned question.

  • Why would anyone want this to be a straight port of the N64 game, and why would anyone complain that it isn't?

  • Because retro is big, old games are 9-10 times better than new games because they're harder which means they last longer and it's being advertised as a classic so people buying it for that will be pissed.

  • valid comment about controller support

  • It's something I often mention because nothing pisses me off more than being forced to use something I don't want. And when the Wii has 4 modes of control, then forcing people into 1 is stupid.

The Wii is the only console to have this many main controllers so it's the only one I have a problem with, as all major PS3 and 360 titles use pads.

And quite frankly, it'd be like the new Zelda being controlled solely by the Rock Band Drum Kit, mad fanboys would love it, others...

  • Another problem I'm having with the game is the online play. It's fun, but really there is no motivation to play. Waiting until level 15 and such to unlock those weapons is pointless because you can already choose those weapons or better with the preset load outs. The only thing that would be cool would be the remote mines maybe but it would take hours upon hours and hours of play to even get there. It just seems pointless. Not sure if CoD is any better or anything. never played.

  • @FreshNapp The new GoldenEye's multiplayer is very similar to CoD4's, except with much weaker maps & no killstreaks. The latter could be interpreted as a pro or con depending on your preference.

  • @nerftendo005 Oh okay. Yeah at first I thought Goldeneye's maps were way too small. Now that I play CoD, I appreciate Goldeneye's smaller maps. I like how these CoD maps are bigger for the most part (or seem like it so far), but it's harder to get kills or find people. I am pleased with all the features and challenges and such though with CoD. Of course they spent more time with this game. Much more motivation to play and easier to level up. That's what Goldeneye was lacking.

  • @FreshNapp You mean the original GoldenEye?

  • @nerftendo005 no?

  • WHAT!? YOU LIAR! Okay everyone, the music in this game SUCKS! Gameplay is awesome, but the music really just sucks and sounds like they didn't have much of a plan for it. The single player music is okay, although it seems to be the same few songs played over and over on each level. But the multiplayer music is horrible. We're used to action packed fast and furious music and all this game offers is one bass note repeated over and over a few cymbals here and there. Sounds unfinished and homemade.

  • ANybody know any cheats or secrets or unlocks yet!???

  • Wait, isn't there a difficulty mode ( 007 classic) for people who WANT the difficulty of the oringinal Goldeneye?

  • @Th3Oracle1 Yup, there's a difficulty that prevents your health from regenerating, and you have to restore it via armor pick-ups, just like the original. :)

  • This game is 100% Bond. It controls like COD, but that's where it all ends. It has great cinemas that are not too long and not too often. Just like the 64 version you can play stealthy or run n' gun although you won't last long with run n' gun playing on classic difficulty. Eurocom did everything right. All control types are available and all difficulty settings are available right from the start. The voice acting is stellar. This is the FPS I've been waiting for.

  • @OldsXCool I agree that it's Bond, but it's not the N64 game. The CoD mechanics actually make a big difference for many people, as well as the fact that it includes cinemas & features a more gritty narrative.

It does contain most of the aspects that are still special about the original, but what DEVION212 is saying is that it's definitely not a game that you should buy for nostalgia, and he's right.

Although I DO think that this game deserves the title, since it's a re-imagining of the film.

  • @nerftendo005 I'm not disagreeing with DEMON. I am stating that even though this game is pretty much totally different than the N64 version, it's not just good, it's fantastic. I am saying that people really need to let go of the N64 version. It is not as great as everyone wants to remember. It's nostalgia great, but truthfully Halo improved everything of what Goldeneye started. Goldeneye was a very important game, but has since been outdone many times over.

  • @OldsXCool I completely disagree about Halo. Halo was just run-and-gun. Goldeneye was way less linear than Halo, and it was about completing objectives rather than simply killing people. I agree that the Wii version is better, though, besides the fact that Daniel Craig feels slightly out of place.

  • @nerftendo005 Goldeneye 64 is alot more run n' gun than you remember. Sure you had tasks to complete, but you had giant waves of enemies to plow through. It didn't really matter how stealthy you were because eventually gonna have to fight a swarm of enemies at the end each stage anyway. It was about 10% objectives and the rest was killing.

I think Daniel Craig fits quite nicely into the game. It's not the exact same game. It's a remake. Just like in movies remakes have different actors.

  • @OldsXCool "It was about 10% objectives and the rest was killing."

LOL, so is the new one! xD

  • I must admit, I really hate Halo and will never say a good word for it because after the amount that I was forced into playing it, I've never found anything good about it. While I also wasn't the hugest fan of the original Goldeneye (I thought PD wiped the floor with it, so played that and sold Goldeneye) I did still enjoy it and I loved doing things like blasting specific computers and blowing up walls to escape. Whereas in Halo, you do none of that.

  • @DEIVION212 I never ever said that I liked Halo xD

But why did you play them all, really?

  • I've just replied to OldsXCool with why, so rather than spamming my own vid, the replies should be at the top of the page :)

But yeah, I know you didn't say you liked Halo, I was talking to OldXCool, although I think I might've hit the wrong person for replying, apologies.

I really do hate Youtube's comment system, because things like this happen to often.

  • Although if you hit "view all comments" it appears that they're just below this reply.

  • @DEIVION212 You were forced into playing it? LOL Did your friends old a gun to your head or something?

I had good first impressions of Halo because I actually played multiplayer first with 3 other people and had a blast everytime. I will admit that Halo is not exactly a thinking mans FPS. However I like run n' gun FPS as well as FPS like Half-Life and Metroid Prime. Doom and Black are still some of my very favorites. To me not everything has to have tons of objectives or any to be good.

  • Pretty much. We met every Sunday to play games and I was out voted every week. So for 8 hours every Sunday I was bored shitless as I never lost at a game I fucking hated it.

So I got wrong for always winning, wrong for not playing, wrong for disliking it etc... So yeah, suffice to say, I now despise Halo.

Don't get me wrong, I love DOOM even though it's run and gun, but there's a difference. DOOM was original. Halo just tried to clone it.

  • But originally I didn't mind Halo, I just didn't think it was worth the hype. After those Sundays though, which went on for over a year, I hated it. So how pissed was I when I got Live in and couldn't get a game on anything other than Halo 2? Very.

  • Thanks :)

If you think COD and HALO are the pinacles of FPS gaming, you owe it to yourself to play Half Life.

I was astounded by that game, just blows everything else out of the water IMO.

  • @deivion202 lol 13 yrs

  • you compared it to modern warefare so many times but which is better (for wii)?

  • I honestly don't know which you'd enjoy more. I say get this because there more chance of this being played online what with a newer COD coming out.

  • @DEIVION212 What do you mean, exactly? Why would Black Ops give people more incentive to play this online? Makes no sense to me. If anything, it would make LESS people play this online, wouldn't it?

However, I think both games are both highly overrated in terms of online multiplayer, anyway.

  • He asked which is better, this or MW. Not Ops.

So, I said this because what with Ops coming out, everyone would stop playing MW, whereas this is still incredibly new and a lot of people would most likely pick one, and as this is out first and lots bought it, there's a high chance that this will still have a big online after Ops hitting.

And as people are still playing this, then I was kinda right. I know lots will be playing Ops, but fewer will be playing MW, which was my point.

  • @ri053 I'm going to guess Black Ops will be better. Never played CoD, but it seems Goldeneye is a stripped down CoD with a Goldeneye theme pretty much. Kind of like a simpler more themed version. So yes, it dpeends. If you want the Goldeneye theme and vibe, this game is great. If you're just going for best shooter, probably CoD. I'm thinking of buying Black Ops. Not sure why these were released so close to eachother.

  • @FreshNapp In terms of multiplayer yes, but I think that the single-player campaign puts CoD's to shame, for many reasons.

  • @nerftendo005 I just got Black Ops today and I see where you're coming from. I've never played CoD, so I guess I was expecting this to be more like Goldeneye. Black Ops is SOOO quickly paced. I have no idea what theyre saying or what the story is or why I'm doing what I'm doing. It really makes me appreciate Goldeneye and how slow moving it is and stealthy. Black Ops campaign feels rushed and I'm just lost without any time to live in the game.

  • It's one of those bud, you've picked the wrong one to play first. Black Ops is a Treyarch COD, so it sucks. I personally hate it, and I think the Treyarch games put the COD name to shame and they're just cheaply made games trying to cash in.

In COD terms, best thing I can say to anyone, is stick with the Inf Ward games.

The only good thing Treyarch have ever done is port COD 4 well. Because it seems that making a game from scratch is impossible for them, but porting one is do-able.

  • @FreshNapp I completely agree. All CoD games have that problem, or at least the recent ones (never played the old ones in SP).

  • Its really too bad that they didn't re-create the same N64 game with better graphics and with new and improved gadgets. Keep it simple but maybe expand in some other areas.

As for the game as is, I was one of those people who was a very big fan of the original 007 Goldeneye and still am. I truly thought that I was buying an expansion of the original and obviously that's not the case.

    Cons:

Sound menu to adjust background and the intense -when escaping the club

    Headshots sometimes don't work

  • Wich levels from the old goldeneye can we see in the multiplayer of this one?

  • I've not found a single one yet, but maybe I just haven't unlocked any (Doubt it).

  • I LOVE THAT KIRBY SUPERSTAR ON YOUR MENU :3

  • this game was built for someone like me: It's always a freakin pain to set up my brother's 360 when we want to play MW2, and reflex had absolutely NO splitscreen so I'm really glad a game like this came out, especially because we have all those gamecube controllers lying around

  • Good review! I haven't played the original (though I've seen my brother play it.) I just want an FPS on my Wii, and something with Wifi. This looks good, I'll probably just ask my grandparents if they can get me this for Christmas.

  • Thanks :)

  • My new favo(u)rite reviewer.

  • Thanks :)

  • Good vid-does anyone know how many online maps there are and what they are like?

  • Thanks :)

There's not a huge amount and they're basic. I can't really rave about the MP map design. It's not even as good as the original and that was what, 12 years ago now?

  • @DEIVION212 13 years xD

  • So not a bad guess at 12 years.

  • Ahh apologies DEIVION212. Good review though mate, better then most of the reviews on the big game sites, this review convinced me to give it a go (looks worth it anyway)

  • Thanks :)

  • Too those trying to guess he's accent, it is a geordie accent, so he would be from newcastle england, i live in england (london) so am pretty sure thats right (although unimportant, just thought id clear that up) .

  • @jingtroc23

You're right, except he's from Sunderland, not Newcastle, but close.

  • Yup I be a Mackem.

  • Yup, Sunderland means Mackem bud, sorry :)

  • Good video. I like checking out peer reviews to see how the game is "in the trenches" rather than what a news site says. I didn't sift through the all the messages but the "Classic 007 Mode" (highest difficulty I think) DOES give you the classic "Life" and (when you get it) "Armor" bars.

Gonna rent first to see if I can dig the Wii setup.

  • Thanks :)

  • A Wii game that you actually like? I don't believe my ears. Sounds too good to be true, especially when you lied about liking NSMBW.

However, I do think that I might get this game, though. I wasn't that impressed with the online multiplayer; it felt like a dumbed-down version of Modern Warfare, but I might get this for the campaign, and it's probably the best Wii game to support split-screen multiplayer.

  • I didn't lie, I just got caught up and once I went back it, realised I was caught up in the hype. It was almost like I was trying to convince myself when I think about it.

Because I wanted it to be good.

  • @DEIVION212 So, in other words, you were corrupted by hype?

  • Yup, which is annoying because it was the first time in around 7 years or so. Hell, maybe 10. Because I really don't ever research games for months in advance. I never watch the press shows, I only ever check out E3 and that's it. I don't watch every single trailer released, or read every article or interview because when I did do those things, I was always so deeply dissapointed.

So I now barely watch or read anything. But with that, I don't know why, but I was hyped for it.

  • And I kept wanting to love it, and then eventually when it came round to re-doing it for the coins, I realised, I couldn't replay it. At all.

  • But I'd done the vid after I finished it and before I'd tried to replay it.

  • @DEIVION212 I agree. When I tried to replay the levels for the star coins, I just got bored & frustrated, and quit.

  • If you hate regenerating health, there's actually a difficulty setting that forces you to collect armor pick-ups in order to replenish your health.

  • DIK

  • This game is amazing !! .. been on it all weekend ,its just as and better than the 64 original

  • are you going to review call of duty black ops for the wii? i want an opinion on which one i should buy.
