  • @kingmaddog2 No it's not, the Daytona 500 is a race, it is the first race of the season, which is 36 races. The 36 race season is a championship. One race in said 36 race season is not a championship.

  • @kingmaddog2 okay he won a race. he didn't win a championship though.

  • @flyingturns89 The Daytona 500 is a championshp.

  • davey never won a championship

  • @flyingturns89 Yea he did(The Daytona 500)

  • "what's weird is the fact that the folks that never met earnhardt loved him...and the ones that actually knew him couldn't stand him."

rusty wallace interview on RPM tonight..2-28-2001

  • Jerry Punch is he a real doctor?

  • @theClintdog yeah, i think so, I've heard he's saved a few drivers lives before...

  • @thepspman116 Cool thanks

  • Between Jr's Hauler and Park Hauler the 22 Hauler is there so it goes Dale Waltrip Dale Jr Ward Burton Park and Schrader

  • r.i.p jr were gone 2 miss u

  • look in the background at 1:35

    dale's hauler R.I.P.

  • stock car racing.... bullshit! that cars are far away from stock!!! in the 60's and 70's that were real chargers and talladegas!

  • this guy dont No Shit about Nascar

Davey Allison Never won a Championship 2:47

  • @TatianaSword Get cancer. Your family should get it too.

  • I was not a true fan of him, but I respected him despite his actions on the track. I was devastated. The most emotional day in NASCAR history. We, the NASCAR community, will miss Dale and the #3 car. He is, probably, the greatest person ever to get behind the wheel of a stock car. R.I.P. Dale Earnhardt (1951-2001).:(

  • I MISS DALE TERRIBLY! #3 FOREVER!

  • first nascar race i ever watched and ill never forget it either

  • 3:20: RIP Dale Sr., RIP Adam Petty, RIP Kenny Irwin Jr., RIP Tony Roper (latter 3 in 2000). :-( We SOOO miss you!

  • 1:35: Dale Sr.

    1:39: Mikey

    1:44: Ward Burton

    2:10: Dale Jr.

2:13: A dark one, not sure...

    2:15: Steve Park

    2:20: Ken Schrader

Man, I sure miss Dale Sr. If he was still here, maybe he could have over 80-90 wins, Dale Jr. could be fighting for a title every year (maybe win one), Jimmie Johnson wouldn't have won 5 titles... NASCAR would be so much different if it was the Daytona 497,5 in 2001, not the Daytona 500.

  • Davey never won the cup he almost did in 92 .

  • @jazzbo1974: If he won it, then again there's a mistake, 'cause he also mentioned Alan Kulwicki, who won the 1992 championship. So, if Davey would win the '92 title, Alan wouldn't, so he wouldn't be a champion...

  • at 1:33 dale's truck go's by rip 1949 to 2001

  • @lirr56890 Its 1951-2001.

  • i dint know this till the next morning because this was my first race that i saw ever down in florida. my mom told me to go to the pool for the rest of the day. i saw espn the next morning with my dad and pepere and i just cried there for hours and never forgot that day RIP The man in black 1951-2001

  • Dale's hauler going bye SAD 1:35-1:37

  • I was there with my dad. It was devastating. We was heading back home to Wisconsin and mom calls and says yall need to pull over. Dad goes why and i hear mom say Dales Dead. I started Crying he was a great man who cared about everyone. Never again should we see the Black 3 in NSCS

  • @trueamerican1 remeber dale earnhardt jr will drive the rcr 3 later in his career

  • i know this really isnt that important, but massaro said kulwicki and allison both passed away after winning cup championships, but davey never won a championship

  • Sad day, Dale Earnhardt and Eddie Matthews both passed away.

  • @jake99776 eddie mathews the basball player?

  • @wildfan48 massaro or anyone else didn't know abt the steroids issue at that particular time

  • still feel the same way i do when i heard about this after the race me and my dad went to walmart my mom and my sister had church plans we were in walmart when i seen it break on tv and i remember my dad coming up to me in tears man that day will live forever as one of the saddest days in my life and nascar

  • The Mark McGuire of NASCAR? Good example there, Masaro....

  • I agree with CnyAutoFreak, Dale would never have driven again if he had survived. He would have been miserable if he couldn't race- racing was his life. I saw an interview with some of his closest friends that said he acted like he knew it was coming weeks before the race. He was talking like he wouldn't make it through that season of racing. He was an awesome driver and he died doing what he loved. This broadcast is a very creepy one though with the trailers driving past in the background.

  • it took his death too change safety regulations when it should have been done before hand

  • I remember watching this. What a sad, sad night.

  • WSBT960 id love to agree with you believe me. but I have seen with my own two eyes that belt that broke. and it wouldn't have mattered. he also suffered massive rib cage damage from his body going into the steering column. I Want To Make It Clear. I am a life long fan of Dale Sr. and will always be, but he was going to at the very best, never drive a racecar again after that accident, even with the HANS and a closed face helmet. the belt breaking was enough to end his career. R.I.P. Dale Sr.

  • Losing Dale hurt Nascar period theirs nothing that can fix it.

  • This is where it all got started. The SAFER Barrier. The HANS. The COT. Everything. Earnhardt was a great man with a lot of talent, yet what cost him his life was the absence of the HANS. And he wasnt alone. Out of the 43 drivers, 36 did not wear the HANS. And the irony and death surrounding this.

  • 9 years later it still hurts the same.

  • Wow thats creepy

  • Good upload...Depressing, but a good upload.

  • 1:36-2:22 was weird. First it showed Dale's Truck, then his 3 drivers truck Waltrip, Earnhardt Jr, and Park truck then the guy he crashed with Ken Schrader's truck

  • @ENGLANDNEWENGLAND007

    just about said that

  • I though I was only one who notice that

  • Without a Doubt....Dale Sr. would've survived that crash with the HANS or Hutchens device had he of worn it.

  • its weird while massaro is reporting u can see Dale Sr. then Waltrips then a min. later see Jr's and Park's Haulers........RIP #3

  • Those are probably souvenir trailers, which are painted like the team haulers, but not as big. Still, it's a pretty wild coincidence for them to pass just as they're shooting the video.

  • @RRaquello those are the car haulers not souvenir trailers, yes they do look alike but those are car haulers.

  • @bigjmac0816 And then Schrader's hauler..

  • i can remeber this like it was yesterday- i cried when i saw this that night. RIP DALE

  • Very SAd to see the 3 and 15 pass By at the Interview it actully made me cry :( RIP dale Sr 1951-2001

  • Really Sad When The 3 & The 15 Trailers Left The Racetrack!!!!!

  • 1:36

Oh my God, Im about to cry =[

I saw the cop sirens, and then I saw what I hoped I wouldnt.

    RIP Dale!
