I went on a school trip with my son when he was in the third grade to the Bronx Zoo -- it was a tremendous experience for me as well as for him. All zoo animals need to be protected and preserved. Like the major,governors,marshals,judge­s. if they really want to help everybody take your high paid jobs and do your jobs with out some pay for a while. slash your pays BY 25%. if they do that institutions like the Bronx zoo or The aquarium won't have to lose money. and everything will be in good standings.........

Down here in South Florida we already did it. We killed any attraction the Old Parrot Jungle (Now renamed Jungle Island) still had by moving it half way between Miami and South Beach. And Metro Zoo is so far away from everything & lacks public transportation access to it. Watson Island is a dump, the only "natural" & undeveloped Island left in the coast line too. Bicentennial Park, once home to car racing & Miami-Dade Baseball is also about to become filled with museums too. Sorry, it sucks.

hm . thats interesting. how can animals reproduce in the streets of new york? or in a unusual environment (in this case, Bronx area) that they are not used to (surely they will not ship the animals home if they are getting cuts) ? they will not survive. many of the animals in these zoos are extremely endangered- thus if the zoo closes they will no longer exist..while there are over 1 billion people in the world that can easily reproduce or adapt to their surroundings.
