  • pretty messy for an ableton set............

  • I thunk we got da future daft punk

  • flat out awesome mix!!!! nice bro!

  • hmmnah

  • nice :)

  • omg im from minneapolas too we have to hang!!!!!

  • thumbs up for the enthusiasm but there is a huge lack in structure to this mix :( keep trying tho guys (Y)

  • keep trying!

btw, Nice, I think u can make it better

  • Ouch

  • boy on the left = doing absolutely nothing = justice style baby

  • This is reli bad! You have the ideas but i think u need to learn how to beat match properly and how to use ableton, some of the mixing is good but ther is no adjustment to get it in beat, ther is no need for the laptop u cud easily do it with a decent pair of cdjs and the kid on the decks needs to stop flicking his wrists wen he uses effects thers just no point, i think more practice is needed and iys either one r the uther decks r laptop.

  • do you have to have the DJX700 and the Toshiba turn table?

  • sorry guys but you're just putting one song next to the other

  • Bad Ass Man!!!!

  • what is your name guy at front on laptop?

  • The tecnologic part is soooo hot!

  • you cant mix .. you suck.. you only change music when you think its right.. the beats are off..

  • nice work fellas

  • OMG AWESOME!!! can you give me a download link?

  • it sounds like you guys are doing this on a raido station and can you scratch with that system?

  • i want to do dj remixing but i dont i cant afford anything really expensave and i cant always buy records so what digtal turntable would you suggest?

  • Yea they certainly look cool, the problem is most sites/places I go have absolute no user reviews or anything on them, but I guess that's kind of a red flag there.

The only thing they're good for is lighting up cool and basically being a beefed up CD player, I kind of regret buying my set.

  • how much dus the turntable thng cost???

  • not bad how do u do it cuz i wana try stuff lik that

is ther a way u can scrath with that

  • 2:30 epicly failed. :'D

    anyway nice stuff!

  • now thats awesome

  • O.o I love it O.O

  • good job =).

  • dude yer set up is fuckin siiiickk

  • @merlotstyle No It's not. XD

  • Good work, bro. Lots of pratcice.

  • It's always a pleasure to listen to some classics from Daft Punk :)

  • Nothing Better the Some DAFT!!! Awesome mix.. RE5PECT

  • What do you think of those Cd Decks? I'm considering buying some for x-mas, and I wanna know what people think.

  • That buzzing sound is coming from your computer. The buzzing sound is occurring by a ground loop. You can buy a thing called a Ground Loop Isolator to stop it.

  • @26340dow or you can get a DI-BOX, or you can buy a Mac^^

  • @mefyou87 I know i have a mac, it is great to DJ on.

  • the buzzing sounds like corck. but other than that i thoroughly enjoyed this :D

  • hey, where can i get the first track just the way that's playn here :) plsss very good mix

  • Comment removed

  • its called a roll, it makes a sample and loops it, but it keeps the track playing underneath.

  • thanks so much. really amazing mix by the way.

  • It's a "Roll" effect.

  • how did you connect your pc

to the ixers and contro live with the cd players?

  • line out to the mixer... they arent controling the computer with the tables, they are using tables and the computer as a 3rd deck

  • what comp program?

  • ableton live. by far the best music application out there

  • agreed

  • @BandanaRepublic could u show me how to use abelton

  • Comment removed

  • Rock That shiT!! I Like!

  • wow

    waaayyyyy better than your mixes.

you played like all my fave songs from them

    minus one more time

  • ouch!

beat maching/tempo is a bit off in the first mix, then i stop listening.

You should experiment with the eqs etc etc and also get a dc/ac inverter to stop the hissing from your laptop charger.

Ill post a 10 min mix up on here today.

  • i wuz just a little disappointed with the sync

  • Nice work guys!

  • Wow!

    (:

  • nice

some of the songs you drop are a bit off in tempo.. work on it.

    but overall, great mixing

  • msp representin!

  • VERY NICE !!!!!!!!

  • really nice mix

  • mate bad beat matching

  • A proof of offbeat has got to be when the 2 djs are moving out of sync ;)

  • not bad ! ... nice chose of music to ! xd

  • I currently use Ableton Live - and yeah - its fucking awesome - Can literally do everything! However I want to learn about decks and how to use them - Are these turntables in your opinion good for a budget beginner?

  • good

  • Your using ableton live on the laptop correct?

  • yup! best decision i have made with djing was switching to ableton.

  • lads thats sick!! nice one!

  • what cd player are those?

  • Gem Sound CDT-525's. and they are complete shit. cheap but probly the worst option you can buy.

  • I agree wtih TomTom-very easy to detect when you switch.

Especially ~3:00 when you've got HBFS going with Around the World, that intro could be cut shorter to go better with ATW.

Also I don't really feel like you changed some of the songs that much.

  • Good guys =D

  • i like it! u should use more filters tho, someone else mentioned the korg kaoss pads if u want real live fx, failing that get an allen n heath xone mixer with the cut n res built in to get a bit more fluent in your track fades etc

    krissi b

  • nice selection!

  • agree!

  • Not very good mix its to noticable when your switching your stuff songs don't go smoothly

  • two thumps up!! nice job!!

  • Just think like you're making a ten minute song, not a ten minute mix. Get out of the mind set of mix, get into the mind set theatrics. Add drama to a set, much like you did with the Justice tempo build I saw in a previous video. Make THE DRAMA!

  • nice nice:-)

  • U need a Korg Kaoss pad of somesort and it would be perfect

Oh yeah and U need more Aerodynamic

  • pretty good, id like to hear your production shit

if i may suggest a few things.

make your drops more noticeable and frequent and get some effects going.

also, dude...get a macbook to run your programs on, they are soooooooo much better for djing and pretty much anything music related.

  • u guys have potential but u have to practice your mixes and think them out alot more, u use alot of strong songs 1 after another

  • Hard mix of Daft, excellent Job guys !!!

    4 stars

  • very nice, guys!

  • Still a little out. But an improvement.... Music works in bars remember guys. 4,812,16... Every 16 beats the music changes. Stick to this rule and you won't go far wrong. And get a monitor. U'll hear it probably alot better. Good luck!.!.!

  • I'm pumped for Halloween

  • It's ok considering the fact that the best people to ever mix Daft punk is Daft punk.

  • Amen to that

  • nice work =)

  • ABLETON LIVE 6.0 :)

  • verry good work guys!! souds good! you realy know what the dj shizzll is about!!

    congrats!!

  • I liked it!

  • This mix rocks

  • this is a crapy set

  • then make a better one! if you think its so crappy

  • hehe i do that everyday my friend

  • then lets see it! put it on youtube.

  • no, i will post you the share link... by the way it is really crappy when you mix television rules the nation... cheers my friends !!!

  • sweet! im excited to hear it

  • Gear... Personally... I can mix with anything... I've use software to mix in from CDs etc and back out onto CDs. I can mix on turntables and I can do software mixing too... You don't have to use the beatmatch button which doesn't always work.

At the end of the day.. I spent alot of money for my CDJ1000 MK3s and DJM600s adn I'm very happy with them, I LOVE mixing on them, but it all comes down to the fact of money. Overall I just love music and mixing. So use whatever gear you enjoy.

  • Dont mind DJSEvEN he has nothin better to do than to give people shit about there mixs. So what if ur using a pc go ahead there no rules saying u cant use 1. So what if u cant spell BEATMATCH there no dj spell test if u win the tenminmix.

as of now i personally use a computer for live recording, but that's about to change, gonna buy me a real recording studio / Burner WOW u got more money than the rest of us well go buy some vinly turntables assmonkey.

sorry that guy just pissed me off

  • thank you. finally some a good comment. i totally agree. i think about it like this, maybe 25% of the crowd is going to know what gear you are using and the other 75% dont care so i say use what ever gear you want. as long as the mixing is good.

  • Yeah for real... Good set guys and keep up the good work. Put on yuh hater blockers next time someone wants to hate!

  • Well your right, and if you can mix on True tables i take my hat of.

But what bothers me is that many so called dj's don't let the artist shine throuh, the remix and shit and it sound AWFUL, either with mega chopped beats / samples, tooo much fx and so forth, 2nd many cant even spell BEATMATCH, so they get a pc that does that for them.

listen to some older funky, x or mastermix and you'll hear what i mean, give the artists some credis and let them be proud of your work

  • evolution

  • DjSevEn72 is one a dem old dudes...stuck in his ways...dont mind him.

  • im sorry but in my opinion those who can really call himselfs "dj's", are the ones who use analog equipment, because now, with the technology even a kid could mix a track. just listen these two. this kid thinks that mixing is only tie two beats cutting the bass frequencies of one of them. but real mixing is not like this. thats why i think this set is crappy. because the changes are too marked, these two are losing the real key to mix tracks. thats the only thing have to say about this. cheers

  • I agree with the fact that a real dj can mix on vynl or cd.mp3etc. I can do all that...but for real you gotta get past that oldschool mentality.Sure cd players and laptops make it easier for people who may not have too much talent but so did direct drive turntables+10/ -10% pitch adust even bpm counters on analogue turntables The point is these kids are tryin to put up a mix for people to enjoy and all your doing is putting their efforts down. So what if they are not the bestthey will get better

  • ...and this all came from someone who uses FRUITY LOOPS to produce beats....bro pick ur battles man..if you're gonna make fun of some kids for using shotty equipment dont use the biggest joke production software there is.

  • sorry i dont use fruity loops to program, but my little brother does.. he watch tutorial videos and he actually use them as a base, and he's only twelve. i DO also use computers and softwares to produce, i've made tracks for an art movie called "BEYOND ME". and you dont know how hard i try o make my little brother uses real software and equipment, because in his age the kids will absorb everything. but he replies that FL is more fun.. but he is a kid.. of course it has to be fun.. see my point?

  • Fair enough. No harm in that.

  • and i think i must apologize with bandana republic, i was o violent with my first comment, i will learn about this, cheers and keep it up!

  • Hey, no problem. I don't think it matters what gear you use these days. This mix would be next to impossible on vinyl, with the looping & sampling, so yeah, we did it with computer and cdj. And for the record, i'm also a vinyl dj. I just put up a vinyl mix, check it out (and it's got some daft punk!)

  • and you are right.. i think i didnt reailze that i was putting these kids efforts down, is only that im so estrict with the sound... and in certan way they remind me my little brother, only because his job at the time of play is minimum, doesnt mean that they have no passion for doing it... cheers

  • I agree somewhat, but i believe they will learn later, after they learn to do this well they'll go onto more complex mixing, thats what I did... Im only 15 but when I started I was doin the same mix, So ok its not a great mix but its a good start guys!

  • finaly sum1 else who knows what proper mixing is,ANALOG.If u wana see sum proper mixin check out my channel or watch the techno sessions vid in the b2b comp.cheers

  • What would be nice to see if any of you guys really can dj without a computer!

if there are 100 000 entries on youtube with people titulating themself dj's, 99 000 use computers, that's sad in my opinion

none of you would be able to reproduce the stuff you do before a live audience without ur PC / Mac Mechas, now would ya.

as of now i personally use a computer for live recording, but that's about to change, gonna buy me a real recording studio / Burner

    Sorry but computers sux

  • I think djing is about music, not about gear.

  • Not all people can afford to buy a gud gear... What If U have Allen & Heath and U Play Shit On it.. I'd rather choose this and spin some gud records...

  • Well first, both of us can use turntables and cdj's. And of course people couldn't do the same stuff with tables as with abelton, there compleatly diffrent technology from diffrent times. and technology is changing, which is allowing DJ's do more for the audience, which is what it's relally all about. no one in the crowd is gonna give a damn what your mixing on, as long as it sounds good.

    Thanks for the comment

  • AMEN

  • Again, i'm wondering how we did this. It's a perfectly decent mix tributing daft punk cause we love them. The last couple of comments have been pretty negative, and in compleate honesty if your series, what needs to change for us to not disgrace and be losers. Or are you guys a bunch of assholes looking to spread negative bullshit on youtube?

  • Thanks for ruining daft punks music : (

  • Yeah... If you don't mind me asking, how did we do that? We did a mix similar to what they do live out of love for their music and live show.

  • pretty good got a bit shabby around harder better faster stronger and on/off but they are fairly arkward to mix

  • lame ass unoriginal shit

  • Not bad mate - keep it up, and it would be good to hear some vinyl!

  • yes, this is a very nice mix, great job, I've been thinking about competing in this little project. but anyway, nice shit guys.

  • God bring back vinyl. Real DJ's use Vinyl. All this technology shit, its doing all the mixing for you. do the same mix with the vinyl then i 'll give you 5 stars

  • We can use computer, cdj's , and vinyl. I used vinyl in our 5th mix. And it's a little easier using digital, but no, it does not do the work for you.

  • also with ableton i can be way more creative, like doing mash-ups and remixes on the fly without worrying about beatmatching. and all it comes down to is if the crowd is enjoying themselves.

  • nice mix are u using ableton live 7?

  • no im using a demo of 6. and ill probly get 7 LE soon. is it different than 6?

  • no clue ive only just started mixin

gettin decks nd shit soon probably the same mixer as ur using cos its cheap lol

    whats ur opinion on it?

  • for a beginner its great, the only bad things i can say are the some of the effects suck, the lights are a figity sometimes and the sound quality isn't great. other than that i think its the best value for a new dj.

  • lol well anything is better than being stuck with virtual dj cos u have the use of 1 finger(the mouse)haha, which gets kinda annoying.

  • Unless you set up keyboard shortcuts like me =]

  • it sounds rlly good but i no whats on evrybdys mind and that is.....DAFT PUNK WANT TO BE

  • how can you be a DJ and not be a Daft punk want to be?

  • thats freakin awesome XD

  • nice guys

  • this is cool. i just got around to watching my video responses. keep up the minnesota pride. tour down to northfield.

  • nice work lads

  • Unbelievably awesome job guys, it's not always easy mixing DP stuff. Thanks for the friend invite will definitely be looking out for your stuff.

  • love it! :) your mix makes me itch to make another 10 minute mix.

  • thanks, you will probly see another one up pretty soon cuz i just picked up a midi keyboard/controller and cant wait to use it in a tenminmix

  • DUDE with all that gear you should mix some psytrance!

    You like psy ????

and what is you midi ????

  • wow...that was amazing, especially the start!

  • great guys!
