if there is oil there,,,be very carefull,,,,there could be weapons of mass destruction///////and then the USA will probably bomb you WITH weapons of mass destruction and give an excuse like?%$"&¬¬if we dont attack them now then they are going to take over America and hold us all prisoners
Yea US wont allow muslims to be able to develop and have their own system and way of life. its just not clear that Democratic system is not suited to some people and you dont just go and impose it on them
Not only Exxon Mobil but even Shell makes a havoc of the place after drilling. I cant understand how evil the CEO or person incharge are. I'm ALL for drilling oil, but these oil companies should do good for these farmers.
Look at nigeria where Shell left huge huge oil spills after drilling the oil. Too bad.
This is not Malaysia and Al Jazeera doesn't make mistakes. The Petronas pictures that you see are coming from Al Jazeera studio is the Malaysian capital.
The anchor (news reader) at the beginning was broadcast from Al Jazeera's Malaysian headquarters in Kuala Lampur. The field reporter was in Java, Indonesia.
Al Jazeera International does a cool thing where the 24 hour day is divided up by it's 4 headquarters (Kuala Lampur - morning, Doha - day, London - evening, and Washington - night)taking a lead in broadcasting during certain hours.
I find it incredibly humbling that the woman who's land the oil was found on simply wants a stable job if they force her to sell. Not millions, not riches - just stable work.
Beautiful and tragic in a way. But most certainly humbling.
Exxon Mobil!!! The man around 2:19 is lying, as he talks he is saying NO with his head. Then the reporter after him is telling the truth, her head is saying YES. I know its not a perfect science, but thats how it came across to me. FIGHT THE POWER!!!

"If we sell our land, I hope we'll be offered a steady job". LMFAO. People, if you have oil, its worth millions. You'll never have to work again.

Indonesia also has a pretty high Muslim population as well, so I'm sure the U.S. will soon find a way to link it to terrorism. No more war!

Indonesian oil should be nationalized and should stay in the hands of the people of Indonesia, not American oil companies.
