@LordOfTheSevenDarks Marrow of the spirit, their latest and greatest. haha when you posted this I immediately thought, "From Which of This Album?" ahhh... Agalloch
@PvtParts111 You know, I'll never understand why people make comments like this... Why would you come to a video simply to insult the people that like it? It's so needlessly antagonistic it boggles the mind.
Greatest album ever released, and this the greatest song ever. (opinion) Nothing takes me away more deeply than these 18 minutes, and if you read the lyrics while listening and feel the curse speaking...I love you Agalloch
By the first minute I thought: "Okay, this looks like it's going to be one of their slower tracks."
Then 7 Minutes: " Wow. Those screams are just raw emotion and atmosphere. Awesome."
I thought it couldn't get any better than this, then 10-11 minutes in I get up from my chair and leave the room. They've done it again. Agalloch never fails with any of their releases.

I don't understand the people. In a metal magazine said: "[..]Black Lake Nidstang it's the most epic moment of the album" but this is not epic, this is just ambiental music.
But Ghost of Midwinter Fires, The Watcher's Monolith and To Drown are really awesome.
@MultiPosts Those unfortunately are not John doing those screams, which is very disappointing as that is my favorite part of the album.z
Check out Nyktalgia and Wigrid for more stuff with screaming like that, theirs tons of bands that do a very similar type of vocal. And deserve recognition just as much as Agalloch and Wolves.
I live in the Northwest, friends of mine hang out with Don Anderson. No, not bragging, doesn't mean a thing to me, besides the fact that people who hang out with these guys were the one who told me its not Jon doing those vocals. But believe what you want.
Thanks youtube for discoverin' me this incredible piece of music !

@EyesofNeurosis Who is it then? Because I feel safe saying that I am 99% sure that is John Haughm..
Btw, I've heard those bands before. Nyktalgia (and Wedard) are probably the only two DSBM bands I love. :)
MultiPosts 5 months ago
@EyesofNeurosis Considering there's no listing of guest vocalists for that song, I'm pretty sure it's him.

7:23 is enough to bring tears. Surely their most under-appreciated album.
