Now Ricky, you know you should have went ahead and added a potentiometer to that box so you could control the gain level.. I could have used a stereo version of this about two days ago.. trying to use some wireless mics with my camera.. MIC IN was too over-modulated and LINE IN was too low.

Master, check out the Charlie Chaplin video on youtube. "Time Traveler" People think the woman in the film is talking on a phone. Joke is on them, she is actually talking into a micro cassette recorder.

Personnally, it sounded better in Passive. had more bass. Active was kinda tinny.

The little preamp is very nice! And I can remember you once used the clip-on microphone in a couple of your older videos.

I too have a little clip-on mic, that will only work on camcorders that have a plug-in-power microphone jack. The microphone preamp you built would solve that problem :)
