  • Is it common for Russians to build teepees? I'm aware of the Tuvan people but...???I was expecting to see some Native American folks.

  • @hwiseman1

Actually, it is not a tepee. This house is made of clay/mad and straw. Only the roof may remind about a tepee.

  • @VestnikRA There is a teepee at the right back of the adobe house

  • This looks like a nice house. More people need to learn this kind of house building in the USA

  • see what happens, you get a college education then fin dout the best way to save the earth is to build using mud. Crack smoke it taste great.

Could have saved us 100k in education tought me the basics in highschool.

  • were the walls isolated with something, or just pure adobe?

  • As you can see in the movie, the wall were not isolated for that winter and yet they standed it well. However the walls are usually covered with lime mortar which protects them for years

  • thanks! adobe house is a house built using sun dried bricks. but, this system of building a house with applying chunks of cob (same material the sun-dried bricks are made of) to the wall is called a cob house. but still, i like this system the best!

  • @VestnikRA Wouldn't burning the mud make them stronger?

  • Yes, it IS great idea! :)

    It shows us the difference.

  • I thought adobe houses were only okay in dry places? Doesn't rain affect the mud bricks?

  • @papsttreu that's why stucco is used to weatherize adobe a lot of times.

  • Great idea
