That's like comparing apples to oranges. The IS-F is a different class, and price range. You can get a G for just over 40K, while the IS-F approaches the 60K mark.

With a solara there is virutally no aftermarket support meaning this guys turbo solara is a 1 off, its unique,its rare, the guy is a pioneer in the toyota community. He put in hard work to be the only guy in the world to have a solara set up like that, the g37 on the other hand is just like hundreds of other g37's like that.

Yup, the break-in period. It sucks huh? but you gotta wait past 2k to feel some power. NO power shifting, our tranny is not strong enough for that. I shift at 7800rpm. Trust me, it will go past redline.
dang dude I just broke my car and man I wish it had a little more torq. =( but once it gets going man that it can pull especially the 4th gear gosh it pulled soo hard hahah.
Glad you're enjoying it. Get a HFC and you'll see how the car pulls from 65mph-100mph just from 3rd gear. I just got my Y-pipe installed, nice pull but exhaust note got too raspy past 5k rpm. I'm not too happy about it.

It stand for High Flow Catalytic. Factory cats are very restrictive due to emissions regulations. HFC are not as restrictive but they are illegal in some states.Hope that helps

yea the solara had some serious trouble with the launch but still managed to take about 2.2 seconds off the stock 1/4 time not bad at all cannot wait for him to get better tires so he can actually use all that power.
The stock g37 has only one engine it is a 3.7L V6 with 330hp @ 7000 RPM and Torque 270 (lb-ft) @ 5200 RPM The solara is a 3.0L V6 stock making 200hp @ 5500 RPM and Torque 212 (lb-ft) @ 4400 RPM so yea it is about 130hp check out the manufacture website or even wikipedia if you want the info is all over the place the solara uses a 1MZ-FE 3.0 V6 while the engine for the G is the VQ37VHR.

a stock g37 has about 80+hp on a stock solara. If the solara owner is who i think it is, he could have easily destroyed the g37 with both his old or newer set up. IIRC the car has been sold

i am a little disapointed at the G37 and 370 track numbers, and overall power. Not all that great. 350Z with minor bolt ons OWNS a G37.
