52jamaica: Obama hasn't fixed a darn thing. He's only added2the problems. Obama has repeatedly claimed his budget would cut the deficit by half by the end of his term. But Obama has already helped quadruple the deficit with his stimulus packages. The Obama Admin. has failed to fix the economy because their strategy is to grow the size of the government and raise our taxes to pay for it. It's just plain common sense, but some people just don't have it. Obama is one who clearly doesn't have it.

It was nice of Obama to make the symbolic gesture of cutting taxes on the middle class right B4 his backdoor tax increase cancels that tax break out. These taxes are set to expire in 2010. Contrary to the spin from the Obama administration the Bush tax cuts were not just on the rich. When these tax cuts expire EVERY American taxpayer will receive a tax INCREASE.

Techra: Over-spending and debt is what caused our current problems. More over-spending and debt will cause more damage and offers no relief. If our economy is to be turned around and the financial services industry is to successfully bifurcate, emphasis needs to be placed on independent businesses and less attention paid to multi-national corporations, which have little loyalty to a single nation anywhere.

that "worst tax cuts" describes 6 specific tax CUTS (not raises), some of which were put in by Repubs in the senate version of the bill. do you know how many tax cuts the stimulus has in total? it's a lot more than 6. there very well could be a "20 best tax cuts in the stimulus."
none of the "better stimulus" would be news to the president, who has promoted things like R&D tax cuts that Repubs would filibuster
